I would recommend this event for kids five and up. However, younger kids will love it, but parents should be there to supervise their younger children. The younger the child the more paint used; on you, on the table, on the floor, on their faces and hands etc. I would suggest the adults handle all pottery during the selection process. You break it and you pay for it. Some pieces are very fragile.
The paints are on the tables. If your color is not there, ask the pottery assistant for help. The pottery assistants will answer questions, help with supplies and give great suggestions. Dryers (hair dryers or craft dryers) are furnished to speed up the process. The guests have a wide array of paint brushes for any style of painting.
The sessions usually lasts an hour and a half to two hours. Prices start around $125 and up. There are many packages to choose from. You can freehand paint or sketch your original design with a pencil, stamps or stencils. I have seen three year old kids whose pieces look horrid, but after glazing and firing, they came out beautifully. "Studio 6" uses nontoxic paints, dishwasher, microwave and food safe. The glazing and firing are included. Your pottery will be ready in about a week.
For your favors, you may include paint brushes, paints, art pads, or any types of painting supplies that will encourage creativity. "Studio 6" includes a commemorative birthday plate fort the party person. The folks at "Studio 6" are very accommodating; share your party idea. If you wish, they will arrange catering. "Studio 6" welcomes small and large groups, and parking is free. The perfect party package is waiting for you.
