Children's Birthday Party Venues in My Town

Near Orlando, Florida, or as we say, "right down the road" is an absolutely wonderful pristine beach area with lots of extras. Jetty Park is located approximately 45 minutes east of Orlando at Cape Canaveral, Florida, minutes away from Cocoa Beach. The "Beach Line", a toll road south of Orlando (formerly known as the Bee Line), takes you there quickly and easily. Round trip tolls are approximately $4.00 per car. There are other non toll roads to Cape Canaveral depending on where you are leaving from. A small admission fee is charged.

Your private beach area comes with an on site bath house, restrooms, snack shop, camp store, fishing, tackle shop, relaxing scenery and if you wish, a campground. The picnic pavilions are perfect for parties. Bring your birthday picnic setup. I suggest you bring beach chairs, umbrellas and lots of beach towels. The kids seem to tolerate the hot sand much better than the parents. The beach area is not large, and there is not a lot of roaming room. The kids are easier to watch and, at certain times, a lifeguard is on duty. A volley ball net invites all to join in. Bring a volley ball and your favorite beach paraphernalia. There is a shower on the beach. Wonderful!

Jetty Park is next to the docking area for the port's cruise lines. Cruise ships, tankers, freighters, military and pleasure craft are in and out of the channel. It is most enjoyable to watch the water craft maneuver through the channel. The dolphins are there also. The rocks separate the waterway from the pier. The pier or boardwalk is 1200 feet long and great for fishing and walking. The pier separates the swimming area from the rocks.

If you are coming for an overnight stay, the campground is terrific. From tents to motor homes, there is a place for you. If you plan your birthday party around one of the space shots, plan early. Jetty Park is one of our best kept secrets. You can not get a better view of a space shot. Make your reservations as soon as y ossible.

It is a ritual with our family that no trip to Jetty Park is complete without a trip to "Ron Jon's". This surf and clothing store is famous around our area. Located in Cocoa Beach about a mile or two down the beach, this beach in a box store is a shopper's paradise; beautiful swim wear. Perfect for gifts or party favors.
