If you make brushing there teeth a fun experience then they will begin to want and like to brush more often. If you have more then one child let all of them brush there teeth together, or if you just have one child then you can brush your teeth with your child. When trying to get your child to rinse their mouth play the blow fish game. You blow your jaws out as if you are a fish this is very funny to kids. Note to parents be sure to use mouth rinse that has fluoride in it as well as the tooth paste that you use. Fluoride is very important when it comes to children and healthy teeth because it prevents tooth decay so be sure to use mouth rinse and toothpaste at lease twice a day.
Buy your child their favorite cartoon character tooth brush and tooth paste this will make it seem more interesting. Tooth brushes should be replaced every 4 to 5 months which is great cause they want have to use the same boring tooth brush month after month. If you begin to teach your child when they start to get their very first tooth that brushing your teeth is a fun thing to do, then it will be a usual habit by the time they are much older, you want have to worry about them not brushing, rinsing, and flossing cause of the values you have already placed upon them.
Let your kids know that eating lots of snacks cakes, candy, gum, pies will cause them to have cavities and cavities not only make your teeth look bad, but they also can hurt really bad. Eating snacks is not a crime, but don't allow your children to eat them daily and always have your children brush, floss, and rinse after eating snacks. If your child is not brushing or flossing their teeth correctly always assist them until that are ready to do it own there own. Remember to keep your scheduled dental visit and brush daily and continue to eat your marshmallows which are tasty and not as bad for your teeth as sugary snacks are but you still have to brush after-wards. Keep in mind to always brush, floss, and rinse and that will give you bright white healthy teeth.
