Child's Creation

Penelope Rain
Scarlet circles gently whisper under the shade.
Silent light creeps up the lighted way.
Ghostly shimmers sparkle off of pine needles.
This is where a child's fantasy plays.

Blankets of wonder sweep across the sky.
Earth browns dimly break through with sighs.
Soft shadows pirouette into the evenings silhouette.
Imaginations beckon with whispered cries.

Mild mornings dawn upon sleeping maiden blooms.
Sweet smells of apple blossom into the singing rooms.
Misty green waters shout in the glittering mirror fountains.
And whispering voices breathe forgotten angel tunes.

Bright ashen flashes spark across the sky
And halt the dancing lullabies
Golden waters now shimmer where angel voices once whispered,
And gentle colors now echo the laughing angel rhymes.
