Chili Rallanos Bake

With all the flavor of authentic chili rellanos, this Mexican casserole is easy to serve.

Ingredients

Serves 6
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 4 oz. cans whole green chilis
6 oz. monterey jack cheese
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. sat
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 beaten eggs
1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce

Directions for Chili Rallanos Bake

Prepare pan.
Spray 10 x 6 inch baking pan with Pam spray.

Stuff peppers.
Cut cheese into strips. Put a strip in each pepper. Place in prepared baking pan.

Prepare beef and onion mixture.
Brown beef and onion. Drain fat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour meat mixture over chilis.

Mix remaining ingredients.
Mix milk, flour, eggs, and hot sauce. Pour over meat and chilis.

Bake.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minues or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Tip
For a main dish, make as directed. For a side dish, omit meat and onion. Adjust amount of hot sauce to taste.
