China Glaze Vintage Vixen Fall 2010 Collection: Blast from the Past

Gwendolyn Taylor
Gearing up for fall even though it is still the beginning of summer? For all nail polish addicts, it's time to stock up on autumn nail polish shades that will sure add a hint of old time glamour to your makeup ensemble. China Glaze, famous for their toluene free, formaldehyde free, and DBP free nail polishes have come out with 12 vintage and elegantt nail colors. All of these new shades give off that "all grown up" and sophisticated feel and for the most part can complement all skin tones.

The new shades are split into to subtitles in the collection. The following shades are under the "Hotsy Totsy" title: "Jitterbug" (a dark, glittery, metallic silver-grey color), "Bogie" (a deep, frosted plum color), "Hey Doll" (a vintage, shimmering rose color), Foxy" (a copper hinted, shimmering red), "Ingrid" (a deep taupe color with subtle shimmer), and "Swing Baby" (a sheer, light champagne color with a touch of silver). The "Cat's Meow" title contains the following shades: "Goin' My Way" (a shimmering, bold, bronze color), "Riveter Rouge" (a deep red color with flecks of glitter), "Classic Camel" (a pale, crème yellow with subtle shimmer), "Emerald Fitzgerald" (a deep, metallic teal color with dark green undertones). "Midnight Mission" (a navy color with silver shimmer), and "First Class Ticket" ( a deep shimmering indigo purple color).

The definite standout shades are "Ingrid" and "Classic Camel". "Hey Doll", "Going' My Way", and "Emerald Fitzgerald" are probably my top favorites out of the bunch. All colors are definitely very fall season geared, but I can see these nail colors being sported all year round due to their uniqueness and attractiveness.

China Glaze nail polishes are sold in specialty beauty salons such as ULTA and Sally beauty Supply, and are also sold on online retailers. This collection is available in title packs ("Cat's Meow" and "Hotsy Totsy" respectively) and is also sold as individual bottles. Each individual bottle retails for about $6 each stores such as ULTA will also have frequent sales and promotions for China Glaze products. Definitely pick a few or an entire pack up. These will sure to be the big talk of the town.
