China and Tibet Coexistence

Live and Let Live

Davinderpal Singh
These days the news of Tibetan protest and Chinese repression is becoming the headlines of every newspaper. The Dalai Lama's faith and Hu Jin Tao's administration are both strangling for their existence. Both of them are giving their statements and thoughts encountering each other on various issues that is creating a conflict in the peace loving area of Tibet. Both of them think of their win, but no one thinking of co-existence. But what is Dalai Lama thinking, that he and his new state called Tibet will be able to come out as Independent and stay Independent. Well that may not be true on reality grounds. Actually Tibet is safe from so many years because no one wants to take any enmity from a nuclear state China. No body will cross the border of Tibet, as it would mean crossing China's border. Therefore Dalai Lama had a safety from big bully brother called China.

On the other China's administration wants to keep full control over Tibet. Well the administration should understand just like when kids grow up they need a space and independence up to some level so that they can grow and prosper. Similarly the Tibetans wants to some changes according to their wish. So the Chinese government may give them some special rights. Special rights to elect their government with special powers but within the Chinese administration control. This way Tibetan will also get chance to join the main streams and moves on with the rest of the world.

Bullying and unhearing each other will result in display of quarrel drama for the rest of the world. Just like when a quarrel of house comes out, people around become the spectator. Similarly every country will watch and laugh at the in house problem of China and Tibet, and take it in written that no one will come out to stop the quarrel. The formal statements may continue but the ground result would not come until the two parties namely Hu Jin Tao and Dalai Lama come towards a mutual agreed both sides benefiting agreement. Battering and killing people in Tibet does not look good on the part of powerful China. Similarly starting a quarrel against China does not look good on the part of peace loving Tibet. Also its better for them to move towards a peaceful agreement by themselves instead of moving towards it after a great loss of life and wealth and stop waiting for some third party to intervene.
