For more than one reason I must shout out my favorite little spot Chin-Chin. It is located on 699 Ponce De Leon Ave Ne, Atlanta, GA 30308. The place is so quaint, very small and private. So the reason for this love is as follows. The first time I went it was a birthday present. One of my very close friends took me there, we had a conversation that was extremely open. Chin-chin's atmosphere allows for that. It helps you remember why you are friends. If you can share a spot that intimate, then you can share almost anything.

The second time I went, Chin-chin served as an opening ground for someone else to voice their problems in life. I was meeting a new friend there for the first time at Chin-chin. Here in this cozy spot they had the ability to open up to me right away about things you would not normally tell someone when first meeting them. Even the time I went alone, I had an experience. It was my first time seeing an actual drug transaction. If you are familiar with the area on ponce near Drunken Unicorn, you know the J's(shortened name for a drug addict) are sure to be found there. Although I have seen a few people who I knew were on drugs I never actually saw the transaction. The drug dealer had on a 'white tee', blue jean shorts, and an orange polo hat. I even drove by the same parking lot another day and he had on the same exact outfit. Forgive me if I sound naïve about the drug trafficking life...i am. Anyhow the last time I went to Chin-chin was the ultimate shine moment. For one, they had these super cool glasses. The glasses had the greatest architectural design, with a natural tilt. Then the icing on the cake was my fortune cookie, it had to be the only time it ever said something meaningful. Same with everyone else's at the table. The fortune said "Seek out the significance of your problems at this time. Try to understand". If you get a chance to go and see for yourself I recommend the chicken fried rice, extra spicy for those who live on the wild side. Hopefully it could bring you the same peace.
