The following gives a brief suggestion of the needs and basic characters of children, teenagers and young people depending on their Moon sign. Here are Child Zodiac personalities of the Tiger, Hare, Dragon, Rat, Ox and Pig

TIGER (15 February 2010 - 3 February 2011 )

If ever they wander off, the Tiger child will be found where there is plenty going on and they will be plonk in the middle of all the action! They will be exuberant, full of fun and game to try anything at least once which is why it won't do any harm to train them to curb their impulsiveness! Expressive in speech (in fact quite a little chatter-box) and in emotions, this charming little bundle of energy may drive themselves into many awkward or unusual situations throughout their life but it is unlikely they will ever stay 'down' for long. Hope, optimism and darning never very far behind them.

Compatibilities: Tiger children will get on well with Dragon and Dog adults.

HARE (16 Feb 1999 - 04 Feb 2000)

Adults who aren't too keen on 'rowdy' over zealous children will be counting their blessings when in the company of a Hare child. This child will be a peaceful companion, able to keep themselves occupied with their own interests (which include artistic and musical appreciation) and making few demands on others. They will show an innate understanding of the moods and feelings of those around them; they will be the first to leave as soon as they sense discord or disharmony and if given the chance, this child will usually aim for the routes which give them the least opposition. Wise to the ways of the world however they will not be short of their own more subtle ways to 'get around' others!

Compatible with: Hare, Sheep and Dog adults tend to get on well with Hare children.

DRAGON (05 Feb 2000 - 23 Jan 2001)

Even in childhood there will be an impressively dignified air to the Dragon's appearance; this confidence, exuberance and tirelessness demands that others appreciate and respect and 'need' the Dragon. This child will work hard to impress the adults around them; in return they'll enjoy appreciation of their efforts. They're quite a little perfectionist and they will have many grand aims but they've also got the daring, determination and confidence in themselves to make many of their dreams come true. If ever disappointed, it may take a while to pull themselves out of their emotional doldrums but they will have too many responsibilities to ever get despondent for too long.
Compatibilities: Dragon children are usually compatible with Rat, Dragon, Snake and Rooster adults.

Pig Children (18 Feb 2007 - 06 Feb 2008)

The courage and independence of the Pig child will lead them into many interesting situations. They will not hold back when opportunities arise - whether these are at home or at school - and they will be in the front seat, ready to lead the adventure. Because of their strength of character, the Pig will not be a demanding child. They're the type who'll not need to be told to 'get back on the horse' after falling off; they will do this as a matter of course! Despite their independence (and their tendency now and again to give way to unexpected fits of rage) the Pig can be one of the most loving, understanding, undemanding and giving children of the Chinese Zodiac. Compatibilities and Pig Children: Pig children tend to get on well with most signs, Rat, Hare, Goat and Monkey being perhaps the most compatible of adults.

Rat Children (07 Feb 2008 - 25 Jan 2009)

The 'shyness' which seems to sometimes overcome some Rat children may be misleading. This reticence will not last for long, for under their mask of quiet charm, Rat children hide competitive, energetic and demonstrative natures. A Rat child born during the night is more likely to have an easier path through life than a daytime born Rat though it won't take too long before their alert and competitive nature will begin to assert itself. Quick to demand their fair share of whatever is going, the Rat child is an opportunist whilst their restlessness will demand mental stimulation. Being talkative, they will enjoy the company of others around them.

Compatibilities and Rat Children: Rat children should respond best under the guidance of Hare and Dragon adults.

Ox Children (26 January 2009 to 13 February 2010)

It may not always be easy to fully understand the Ox child. They will need their privacy as much as they need routine and order. They will possess honesty and ambition, yet there'll be no superciliousness to this child's nature. They may not be able to boast too many bosom friends (spending much time alone) and they may not be a one to put on overt displays of emotion; they tend to keep their feelings to themselves. But they will not lack determination, stubbornness, intelligence, leadership qualities, energy and ambition and these qualities will eventually earn them a good position in life.
