I have lived in the area for seven years been to countless Chinese restaurants and have wondered many times why I could not find a great one. My search ended on Sunday June 7th when my family and I were driving to a different restaurant and it was closed. We had passed The Wonderful Dragon Chinese and Sushi Restaurant and even commented that we would like to stop in there sometime and check it out. We had no idea at that moment we would be returning in ten minutes.
As soon as we walked in we were welcomed like old friends who had finally returned. I am not kidding; the hostess was very kind and quick to seat us. We are a large family of seven so sometimes we do have to wait, but not here.
The right ambience is very important to me, I like a relaxed welcoming feeling and that is how I felt at the Wonderful Dragon.
This is a place you can bring your children and feel comfortable; a very important quality for a mother of five.
We were given menus and a sushi order form and again I was pleased to see the prices were wonderful as well. Every sushi place I have been to has had what I felt were outrageous prices. Not so at the Wonderful Dragon, their prices were by far the best I have ever seen. Makes you wonder what the food will taste like, right?
The food was absolutely the best sushi and Chinese food I have eaten any where in Colorado.
The service was very prompt for such a large order. And our waitress never once let a water glass sit empty and we never had to wonder where she went.
We ordered several different sushi dishes and also teriyaki chicken, and a happy family. My son actually ordered the teriyaki chicken and he is a bit finicky about food, but he loved it. The chicken was tender on the inside and had a nice crispy texture on the outside. He brought home the leftovers and ate them the next day. Very rarely have I seen that happen.
You have to go here and take the family, friends and if you want to really impress visitors from out of town, take them here too.
Of course we had to take a bathroom stop before eating and even though it is not a large facility it was clean and very nicely decorated.
I cannot think of even one negative about the Wonderful Dragon, except for I have to drive to Loveland from Windsor which takes about 20 minutes to get there.
The Wonderful Dragon was truly a wonderful experience for our family
