China has gun control laws. It hasn't seemed to matter when it comes to Chinese men killing kids. (Go here to read the latest story.) In a string of atrocious acts of violence, Chinese men have resorted to hacking, stabbing, burning and using a hammer to kill their small, innocent victims. It was reported that a Chinese man, a teacher, stabbed 63 kids with a syringe. Impossible as that seems, why are all of these Chinese men turning on and killing kids?

The media has slowed down its coverage on these killings fearing that copycats are being tempted by all of the media coverage. The recent stories of Chinese men killing kids cannot be found on many websites where it would normally be covered. I could understand maybe 1 copycat doing this. But we are talking so many incidents of kids being killed in schools by adults that I can't buy the copycat idea.

China is not without its monetary problems. Its been said that the gap between the haves and have nots has widened immensely. Many Chinese men find themselves without government help, without jobs, and without recourse. While I find some merit in this thinking, I think it goes deeper and will get to that.

Some in China say that these Chinese men are mentally ill. That just seems like a bizarre statement to me. Yes, anybody, anywhere that kills like this has a definite mental problem. But to use that as an excuse for this many Chinese men killing this many kids is beyond my comprehension. WHAT is making men of China mentally ill?

One reason that I think has some merit is that Chinese men have perhaps reached their limit of tolerance to China laws. With female infanticide, is there a shortage of Chinese women to marry? More men than women are alive in China. The natural thing for a man to do is to grow up, get married and raise a family. Chinese men don't have enough women to go around. Once they do find a mate, China law says 1 child only. Coupled with the fact that China "occasionally" puts a sterilization program into affect. Are men hitting the wall of frustration in China?

Maybe the Chinese men ARE mentally ill. Mentally ill from finding themselves alone, no wife, no kids. Maybe they are making people who seem to have it all..pay with the lives of their kids.

Chinese men are killing kids. How will China stop this madness? Or will they bother?
