Kirin
This nice little Restaurant located right next to one of the largest shopping centers in Vancouver Coquitlam Center offers a vast selection of popular Cantonese dishes in a nice, comfortable, relaxed surrounding. The Staff are courteous and well mannered, and your food is always on time. They specialize more in the exotic food styles such as live seafood, and raw shark fin, if you like these sort of specialties than this is one place you have to go see to believe. The normal rate for a dish is between 20 and 40 bucks although lunches are cheaper, and the portions are quite filling. Although more expensive than other Chinese restaurants I like this place and am willing to pay the money for the quality of eating there.
Floata
This is by far the largest Chinese restaurant I have ever been too with a seating capacity of over 1000 people, this is the best place if you are holding a family gathering or hosting friends or weddings. The cuisine various but for the most part is of Cantonese origin with the majority being seafood. There will always be a lot of people there and it is nice to see so many Chinese all eating like a big family. Price is around 10 to 20 dollars for your average meal which is a little more pricey than other places but the atmosphere makes up for it by being lively and entertaining. Servers are helpful although sometimes hard to get as they have to attend to so many other tables. Definitely an experience.
Northern Dynasty
This restaurant specializes in mouth watering Shanghai dishes as well as some from the North of China. The best part about it is their King Crab dinner which is some of the best food I've ever had, and definitely the best crab I've ever had. All the other dishes are of course great as well, and the service is friendly and fast. They serve their food in large portions and the average rate for a dish is about 15 dollars. If I were you I'd go there just for those awesome King Crab dishes.
Sun Sui Wah
This big Cantonese seafood restaurant on Main Street is another one that serves fresh seafood dishes for a slightly lower price, many people visit it every day tourists and locals alike, and it seems to be quite popular among the Chinese. The service is award winning and the manager will walk around to make sure everyone eating is happy. I loved the dessert they served it was some of the best Chinese dessert I've ever had, their crabs are also praise worthy. If you want some good tasting cheap Cantonese food go check this place out.
