1 1/4 lb tofu (Cut Tofu into 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1/2" cubes)
1/2 broccoli
1/4 mushrooms (Slice the mushrooms in half)
Preparation Group A
1 cup chicken soup
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
Preparation Group B
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon cornstarch
How it's done:
1. Cut the broccoli into serving pieces, parboil (leach) in 4 cup boiling water until soft, remove and drain.
2. Heat a stock pot, add 3 cup corn oil and heat to 350F. Coat tofu with cornstarch and deep-fry until golden brown, then drain.
3. Heat a sauté pan, add 1 tablespoon corn oil, stir-fry mushrooms until fragrant. Add Preparation Group A and tofu, simmer until the sauce is nearly evaporated, mix in broccoli, thicken with Preparation Group B and serve.
