Chip Foose and the Overhaulin Team

Ryanick Paige
You have heard of the scenario. You take your car to the local garage or auto body shop and the unthinkable happens. Your car as been stolen or misplaced, possibly towed away to another repair facility. Or perhaps you wake up to find that your old eyesore has been towed away after sitting dormant in you driveway for months maybe even years. After days of getting the run around and not knowing where you car is, you see a familiar face come walking your way and find out that you have just Overhauled.

If you are a car fanatic or are married to one you know what I am talking about, the TLC show Overhaulin. In the show one of your friends or loved ones becomes an accomplice to Chip Foose and the crew to turn your old jalopy eyesore into a piece of art. From a rusty exterior and ripped up interior they transform your bucket of bolts into a masterpiece that has been designed for you by Chip Foose.

Based in California, the show has only left the state a few times from there first airdate in 2004. From an antique Model A to a new Magnum there is not a car that is safe from Chip Foose and his crew that have been dubbed the A-team. With four seasons under their belts, Chip and the A-team have changed many people's lives by making their dream come true.

Chip Foose is a veteran when it comes to designing custom cars and trucks. He painted his first car when he was just 12 years old. As the ultimate thank you from his team and since he always puts others before himself Chip Foose became the prey. He became the unsuspecting car owner and his 1956 Ford F-100 became an Overhaulin masterpiece. The accomplice that was needed to perform such as a task was none other than Chip's dad, Sam Foose, who Chip bought the truck from when he was just 13 years old. The 1956 Ford is powered by a Roush engine and was revealed to Chip at the Sema Show in Las Vegas.

As taping of the 5th season has ended, the fans are patiently waiting for the airdate of the first show. They are waiting to see what Chip has in store for the old heaps that cross his path. From a pile of rust to a masterpiece design, Chip Foose and the A-team from Overhaulin will transform your car in just 7 days.

Both of my parents love cars and watch your show faithfully. They are huge fans. My mom has a 1992 Toyota Camry LE wagon. Her step dad (a retired policeman) used to love to buy her cars at the police auctions. He was looking for another car for her when he died, but had not found one yet, so he left her his Toyota. This car means so much to her because it was his and the last thing she has of his. She has always said my dad would need to rebuild it and keep it running forever. My parents are so giving and selfless. They took myself, my wife and our 3 children in when our house burned down. They have taken my 2 sisters and children in when they needed it. My mom had a friend since high school who died in a car crash 13 yrs ago leaving her 10 yr old daughter with no one, so of course they took her in also. My parents have always struggled but always giving no matter how hard it was on them. My mom's car broke down on 4/1/11. She was devestated. I would love to see her car get Overhau

I have a 20 year old son, who got the worst Christmas present ever in 2005, he got a 68 chevelle, which due to a freak accident, caused his uncle to have a stay in the hospital with broken collarbone, arm and back. He also had a demolished chevelle for Christmas, but we were able to buy him another 68 chevelle which has been sitting in our garage for several years. To give him a gift of overhauling this car would be a dream come true.

Christmas Greetings to Chip & the Team-amazing things. I bought a 1989 Iroc for my 16 yr. old son who is in Love & wants a career in Auto Mechanics-loves enigine & power his young knowledge amazes me, very good boy. He loves his Camaro more than life. I have had to coach him it's just metal-he says no its more. LOL. I have offered to buy him a truck to keep this car from taking every penny he has. He declined, he works @ Zaxby's just to keep this car. It needs so much help just to get to the point where it is not a money hole. I ahve threaten to sell it & he pleads me out of it. (there's the show's access to the car..I sold it! he would die) He loves the muscle, orig.,retro style of this Camaro, but the $$$ never ends...can you help him?

My husband Stan is now 67, and has Multiple Myeloma. He purchased a Ford Crown Victoria that he has always wanted to get more performance out of. He loves big blocks. He loves this car because it is so comfortable, he hates the lack of power. He is unable to do much physically, but he would be extremely happy to see this car transformed into a comfortable "Street Performer".

Hi, my name is Andrew I'm a 31 year old College graduate with 1.5 degrees and working through college. I recently aquired a 1969 Volkswagen beetle about 5 years ago. It sat in a field during that whole time and I never got the chance to work on it. When I bought it, it had fiberglass fenders and set up Baja Style. I want to do so much to that car to fix it up and make it a beautiful dune buggy that is also street legal. With limited income and a small budget, I fear I may never be able to fix er up. I would like 7" wide crome rims, semi on or off road tires, a good curb jumping suspension (no air ride or hydrolics!), power steering, a good paint job on the outside (Black) or Midnight black (cool effects optional). The interior paint job would have to match the exterior paint job. The interior would have to compliment the rest of the car. I would like a 4 cylinder engine, fuel injected and long lasting and good fuel economy. Automatic transmission is my favorite. Comb

    Dear Chip,
My 71 year old mother is a car gal from way back, her and my late father brought us up with the love of all things shinny loud and fast! I remember when my father (a truck driver )bought my mother a new 1969 mach1 429 cobra jet Mustang, they sold it just before I turned 16(wonder why). She then owned a 1973 Mach1 for many many years and finally sold it long after dad passed. She then developed a love for old full size luxury cars. Cars most people woudnt drive. She had an old Eldorado (1976) not a pretty one!, and now ownes a 1996 Lincoln Town Car (wire wheels etc.). Its also not pretty to most the world, its wore out and seen better days. I keep it running for her because she loves it.( when I call my mother to check on her and ask whats she is doing she says just out drvin' my lincoln!!. I dont have the means to do what I know she would love to the car, but she loves the car just the same. Shes proud but Im ashamed I cant do more. She is a character and funny as can be.
