Chivalry

Tonya Caswell Howe
If you were born in the days of knights,
all dragons would have a case of the frights.
Your name would be both loved, and feared,
as you rode by the people would've cheered.

You'd be a hero to all,
as you scaled a tower wall
to rescue a sweet damsel in distress
though she were faking and wouldn't confess,
that a knight so handsome, noble and brave,
might ride to her castle and save
her from being single all her life,
hoping you'd take her for your wife

But she'd watch in great sorrow
as you rode on toward tomorrow
like a gallant charmer
in your shining armor
you'd wave from your white horse
and continue on your course

That's just how you would be
I'm so glad that you love me
you're the wind in my chime
I'm glad you're in my time
because life would be woe and sorrow
without you in my tomorrow

My stories were always picked to be read in front of the class. I have a gift for writing and I am going to make better use of it by writing more.  View profile

Always neat to find out treasurers from school.
