I first tried Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites at a movie theatre a couple of years ago. They are manufactured by Taste of Nature in Santa Monica, California. There are a few other Taste of Nature products listed on the back of the box, and, while I think I have heard of Squiggles and Muddy Bears, I haven't tried them. The fact that Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites are now on the shelf in Wal-Mart along with more prominent candy manufacturers is a testament to their movie theatre popularity.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites even have a theatrical box. A strip of film adorns the upper left-hand corner, announcing that this is a quarter pound "supersized" box. The red box with the golden shield and spotlight of pale yellow in the center give the feeling of an old time theatre, reminiscent of the days when a night at the movies was a real event. Towards the bottom of the package is a pile of the bite-sized cookie dough being drizzled with creamy milk chocolate. They look and sound very tempting.
"Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites" are pretty good. The chocolate on the outside is creamy and sweet, though not the best I've ever had. The cookie dough inside is a bit gritty, but has great flavor. It really does taste like cookie dough, just a bit drier. (And in case you are worried, the back of the box tells us this product is "egg free", so no risk of salmonella.) But the reason this is my movie candy of choice is that Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites taste GREAT with buttered movie popcorn. Toss a few in the bag and they get a bit melty, and the flavors meld beautifully. I am sure this is absolutely TERRIBLE healthwise, but we very rarely go to the movies so it's a very rare treat.
Speaking of nutrition, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites has 200 calories in each of its three servings, plus 34 percent of your Daily recommenced allowance of saturated fat, and 20 grams of sugar. The only positive attribute is a single gram of protein, so Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites are pure indulgence.
So, while they aren't for everyday enjoyment, if are allowing yourself a bit of indulgence and looking for a delicious movie treat, I highly recommend Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites. (And don't forget the popcorn! Just don't tell your arteries that I sent you!)

Great review, Tina...don't feel bad...I just took my daughter to a movie and we each took our own bag of buttered popcorn in with us...I do buy drinks at the theatre, but that is it!
Excellent review!
