This four ingredient chocolate fondue can be prepared with minimal effort and is best when served very warm so that the creamy chocolate devours and covers your choice of items for dipping.
Some family favorites for dipping into this chocolate fondue recipe include fresh strawberries, large marshmallows, cubed Sara Lee pound cake, brownie bites, pretzels and banana bites.
Choose your favorite foods for dipping and make your Valentine's Day or special occasion one to remember!
Chocolate Fondue Recipe
* 8-ounce box of Bakers Secret, Semi Sweet Chocolate Squares
* 3/4 cup of Half-and-Half
* 1/3 cup of Confectioners Sugar, I prefer the 10 X Powdered
* 1/2 teaspoon of Pure Vanilla Extract
* Wire Wisk
* Small Crock-Pot designed for dips (larger crock-pot if doubled)
* Your favorite items for dipping (marshmallows, Sara Lee pound cake, strawberries, etc)
Directions: Cut or break your Bakers Secret chocolate squares into very small pieces. (The smaller the pieces the quicker they will melt) Add these to the small crock-pot. Next, add your half-and-half. Put on lid and stir occasionally for about 15 minutes or until chocolate has melted and is incorporated with the half-and-half. Once incorporated, slowly blend confectioners sugar into chocolate mixture with wire wisk until smooth. Last, add your pure vanilla extract to this and mix well. Let chocolate fondue heat an additional 5 minutes and serve very warm with items of choice for dipping.
Helpful hints and tips: Did you know you could speed the chocolate fondue recipe along by simply heating your half-and-half in the microwave before adding it to the chocolate pieces? Additionally, if fondue appears thicker than you like, add a few more tablespoons of half-and-half to your finished product and wisk until satiny smooth.
My chocolate fondue recipe is perfect for two to four people making it a great choice for that special Valentine's Day dessert. If needed, recipe is easily doubled for any special occasion involving larger groups or family. I hope you find that my chocolate fondue is sure to satisfy even the most devout chocolate fanatics and trigger the warm satisfying feelings that only chocolate can provide.
Enjoy!
