Having a strong self-esteem says a lot about you. When you smile, you're showing your self-confidence. When you look someone in the eyes, you show that you respect others and aren't easily intimidated. When you give someone a firm handshake, you show that you are sure of yourself. People with high self-esteem will perform better than people with low self-esteem, and employers know that. As an employee, you need to show an employer that you have self-esteem, and that you take pride in your work. This shows that you are proud of who you are and the things you can do. Showing self-esteem tells employers that you're a real winner and will be a good asset to the company or business.
Looking confident when handing over your resume is a very important part of the job search. Smile and hand it over gladly. You don't want to look doubtful or unsure since this will make you look bad. You have a winning resume, and the employer needs to know it. You're resume will make you stand out and prove that you're worthy of the job and have the skills to handle the work involved.
Employers want to hire candidates with lots of assertion and determination. People with self-esteem tend to be fairly assertive and determined. Self-esteem also shows that you feel good about yourself and have a positive attitude. Remember, you do want to be enthusiastic but you do not want to come off as over eager. You also don't want to come off as desperate or needy either. You want to show employers that you have faith and that you know that you're going to find a company or place that will be worthy of having you on board. Good luck to you, and always show that winning smile!
