Manda Spring
Springtime comes with blossoms and flowers of many colors, many shapes and many aromas to delight the post-winter senses. Rather than having a plain garden or the same one that the neighbors have, some people are getting creative. New plants in different shapes and shades can create a very attractive display and quickly become the envy of the whole neighborhood. So, if you are ready for a new and exciting addition to the colors and shapes of the flowers in your garden, you are going to love learning about the Acanthaceae.

Choosing Acanthaceae can be a tricky task because each one is so unique that you might have to get a vast array for your garden. Each one promises to be an attention grabber and subject of envy with the green thumb gardeners in your area. You might just spark a trend.

Most of the Acanthaceae are of the tropical plant family. It is true that there are thousands of different types but some are much more unique than others, in color, shape and overall design. The snapdragon is in a general plant group and so is the African violet.

The Megaskepasma erythrochlamys Lindau is an amazing addition with its unique petals to its contrasting colors. These characteristics will be a great asset to any type of garden.

Pachystachys lutea Nees, also known as the Golden Shrimp or the lollipop plant, is definitely one to check out for your floral arrangement while planning your garden. The bright yellow blooms really stand out amidst various colors.

The Justicia betonica L. is also widely known as squirrel's tail or white shrimp. It can grow between two-seven feet tall. The flowers are very showy and are generally pink in color but often times a light lavender shade can be present.

All of the above can certainly add depth and range to any garden. Regardless what your overall style is, you can achieve it with these tropical blossoms that are sure to attract attention. These unique shapes along with the vibrant colors that the Acanthaceae has to offer allows you to create a wonderfully decorative oasis. Stun your neighbors, inspire your friend and entertain family with these rare beauties.
