Choosing Your Christmas Tree Ornament Color Scheme

There are a variety of ways to decorate a Christmas tree. Of course, there is the traditional green and red theme, but you can demonstrate your creative flair by decorating a Christmas tree with your favorite colors or create an interesting theme of your own creation. When I had my wedding a few years ago in November, my colors were pink and silver. I chose to have a Christmas tree in the church decorated in pink and silver. It was beautiful. Most of the ornaments came from Michael's. I purchased solid soft pink and solid silver balls to hang on the tree. I also chose cream colored balls with a lace-like design on it. My favorite ball ornaments were pink balls with dashes of silver on them. All of these ball shaped ornaments came from Michael's.

Of course, there are other colors that are beautiful. Baby blue and silver are pretty. Even all white can be breathtakingly gorgeous. Blue and silver and pink and silver are my favorites as far as a different kind of Christmas tree color scheme. The Christmas tree that I had was green, but white Christmas trees are equally beautiful. Flowers can serve as great ornaments for a tree. I chose to have pink roses placed in the tree. You can choose real or fake roses. Flowers create a beautiful effect.

From there you can choose silver and pink colored hanging ornaments, like miniature Christmas tree shaped ornaments. Other great ideas are pink stockings with silver trim, or vice versa hanging from the tree. Also, soft pink bows and silver bows placed in the tree offer an elegant touch to any Christmas tree. Macy's has a great collection of Waterford crystal ornaments. No matter what your color scheme is, beautiful and elegant crystal ornaments add a touch of class to your décor.

On my Christmas tree, I placed a beautiful angel that was adorned in a flowing silver dress atop the Christmas tree. The angel provided the perfect accent to all of the ornaments and really brought everything together, beautifully.

There are a variety of ways to choose a color scheme for your Christmas tree ornaments. Just have fun and use your imagination. Select two or three basic colors that you want to use and be sure to purchase ornaments in those colors. If the colors you choose are hard to find, then you can create your own ornaments. You can visit www.michaels.com to learn how to create Christmas ornaments, or you can visit your local store to take classes to learn how to create them. The opportunities are endless.
