Choosing the Right Tuxedo for Your Groom on His Wedding Day

He May Not Say it but He Wants to Look Good Too

Believe it when I say some men have really good taste and they're not ashamed to discuss tuxedo choices. However, there are still some men who don't care what they wear as long as it smells and looks halfway clean. Jeans, T-shirts, and sneakers are all they wear. However, even the jeans man shows a little bit of interest in what he's wearing on his wedding day, and although he may not express it, he wants to be a handsome groom that stands next to the beautiful bride on his wedding day.

Just because you prefer to rent a tux for the groom for his wedding day does not mean you should get any less service. Shops that specialize in renting tuxedos for a wedding should have a large variety of up-to-date styles as well as wedding accessories. A good formal-wear specialist will ask the groom questions and will listen to what s/he has to tell him/her. He or she should be interested in you personally and not just making a sale. If you feel that's all they're interested in, walk away and find someone else to rent or buy your tuxedo. Your best shops will also own their inventory and take good care of it; they will also employ a good tailor so accommodations can be taken care of when needed.

The most important thing the groom has to remember is that his tux must fit right. He should try his tux on one week before the wedding day. If there are any changes to be made, they can be taken care of in plenty of time. His tux should fit his body type, if he's on the short side, a single-breasted suit will have him standing tall, and a double-breasted suit may do just the opposite so choosing a well fitting single-breasted tuxedo will have him looking good and feeling better. Maybe your groom is a large man, wearing a lower-buttoned jacket will give him a long and lean look, very handsome. Pants should stop at the instep, about a third of the way over the shoe.

Speaking of shoes, your groom's shoes should be very comfortable. Patent leather shoes are simple yet elegant and are very comfortable. You don't want him wincing in pain every time he takes a step dancing with you at the wedding reception, or nursing some serious blisters on your honeymoon. Consider what time of day your wedding is being held. If you're having a morning wedding, he may not want to be in a formal tuxedo, choosing another style suite is an option to think about. If it's a summer wedding, he may look very elegant in a white dinner jacket instead of the standard black, tell the tux dealer what time of year the wedding will be and he or she can give you alternatives to what he can wear and still look hansom on the day of your wedding.

Bad grammar. "Hansom" is a type of carriage, not an adjective to describe how a man looks. Content: OK, but not detailed enough.
