Westport is in south west Connecticut, right on Long Island Sound. It is an easy trip to New York City by Metro North to Grand Central Station, making it a perfect location for either a summer or year round home. Westport is a boaters paradise with many marinas and many of the large estates are right on the sound and have their own private docks. Just imagine a summer home on the water with your own boat a short walk away. Westport has its own golf club, and Sherwood Island State Park is located right on the water and has many recreational activities. As for the beach life, there is Compo Beach with plenty of green space, swimming, picnic tables and space for summer barbecues.

Westport Connecticut is a beautiful place to live, with a great school system. It is in the country and yet close enough to New York City to make a days shopping trip and easy thing to do. Take some time to come and spend a day in Westport Connecticut. Visit the shops and restaurants and just walk around and if it feels like home, then home it can be.
