The newest way is the wireless home security systems. With the wireless you will be able to set up yourself over a weekend and place the cameras in locations that may have been impossible before if you had to wire everything. Many of the new devices and cameras are even motion activated so that you don't have to sit through hours of no movement on the screen waiting for something to happen. With the motion activated cameras you will be able to just see the times that there have been movement at your home.
Why choose wireless over the other home security systems?
The others types of security camera will have you running many wires everywhere and many of them are not motion activated. Even if they are motion activated it will still be more difficult setting these up to use. So after you are done spending hours hooking up everything you then will have to spend hours watching recordings to see if something happens. With the motion activated cameras they will only record when there is motion detected. This will save you time when watching the playback. Some of the new wireless will also have a monitor that you can watch live action as it happens.
You will not be limited to where you have to place your cameras. With the wireless you will be able to put them in places without worrying about the running miles of wires. You will be able to hid the camera in places that no one will ever think of looking. The cameras are easily concealable, making just about anything a great place to hide it.
When choosing a home security system, you will want to make sure that your camera is weather proof if you are going to be using it outdoors. Check the recording time on the camera if it has a memory card. Lastly you will want to check and see if it is motion activated.
The newer models are not as expensive as they used to be as more and more people are purchasing them for their peace of mind with home security.
