Chris Aguila - His New York Mets Career

Chris Aguila who had played parts of three seasons with the Florida Marlins was signed by the Mets as a free agent prior to the 2008 season.
He made his Mets debut on June 11, 2008 when he replaced Marlon Anderson in left field in the 9th inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks. In his first at bat as a Met he singled to centerfield.

Aguila would play in just 8 games for the Mets hitting just .167 (2 hits in 12 at bats). He was sent back to Triple A New Orleans where he finished out the season. Following the 2008 season Aguila left to play ball in Japan,

While with the Mets he wore number 29.
