Chris Benoit Hung Himself, Killed Family

CJune 25th 2007, Monday Authorities found the bodies of Chris Benoit, Nancy, and Daniel dead in their Atlanta home.

Chris Benoit called WWE Headquaters to inform them that he would not be able to appear at either Saturday or Sunday's wrestling events. Sunday, Benoit was supposed to obtain the ECW Championship at Vengeance. However, he did not show as he said there was "family illness". He also informed WWE that his son was vomiting blood. After receiving several odd text messages from Benoit, Chavo Guerrero (WWE Superstar) notified law enforcement about his concerns for Benoit and the family.

When police arrived at the Benoit Family home, they had a tough time entering as the property was surrounded by large German Shepard dogs. Upon entering the home, police found the bodies of Chris Benoit, his wife, Nancy, and his son, Daniel.

Investigators are saying that Chris Benoit choked his wife with an eletrical cord on Saturday, and then the next day smothered his son with a bag. It is also being said that Benoit placed Bibles next to each of the bodies, but that has not been concluded. After killing the two family members, he then killed himself Monday morning after messaging Chavo Guerrero. The content of the messages have not been released as of now. Benoit hung himself in the weight room of his home.

Nancy's, wife, wrists and feet were bound and her body was wrapped in a towel. Daniel, son, was laying in his bed when killed and there is no sign of struggle in that room.

Toxicology reports are pending and police did find several prescription medications, believed to be legal, in the home, including some metabolic steroids.

Investigators held a press conference in front of the home to further details, and to confirm. Police also found tons of prescription drugs in the home,

Personally, I would just like to say that I feel extremely sorry for Benoit's wife and son. I can't imagine what they went through. However, I also feel VERY bad for Chris Benoit himself. It must have been a tough life for him, not fun. He must of had a very bad problem during his last few days. I think that the family was having problems, and Benoit overdosed on steroids resulting in what happened. It's so hard to think that as I was having a good time over the weekend, my "man", my "idol", was stung out on drugs and was having a very big blow in his chest. He must have felt very bad with himself after what he did, and that's why he killed himself. I forgive Chris Benoit, and will always care for him.
