Chris Brown Arrested for Allegedly Abusing Rihanna; Whitney Houston Grammy Appearance Makes Some Wonder About Her Health

In celebrity news, Chris Brown was arrested after allegedly abusing Rihanna; Whitney Houston's Grammy appearance leaves many wondering about her health; Usher cancels pre-Grammy party performance to be with his wife.

Chris Brown and Rihanna Grammy are no shows.

Chris Brown was arrested and charged with a felony for allegedly physically abusing his girlfriend, Rihanna. The LAPD police press release says Chris Brown and a unidentified woman were arguing in a car. The car stopped the two got out and the argument continued and the unidentified woman received visible injuries. Someone called 911 and when police arrived they found the victim but Chris Brown was not there. TMZ has reported that crime reports call the ordeal assault with a deadly weapon and that Robyn Fenty is allegedly listed as the victim. Robyn Fenty is Rihanna's given name.

So very sad. Rihanna was going to perform two songs 'Live Your Life and Disturbia. Chris Brown was also to perform at the Grammy awards show. Justin Timberlake performed with Al Green, Keith Urban and Boys II Men to make up for Chris Brown and Rihanna's missing performance.

Is Whitney Houston's Grammy appearance a cause for concern?

Whitney Houston seemed a little disoriented while announcing the Grammy for best R&B album. Maybe the teleprompter was off or she was nervous but she seemed under the influence of something. The night before the Grammy's Whitney Houston performed at Clive Davis's pre-Grammy party and she wowed the crowd. Perez Hilton has a video of her performance at the Clive Davis party here

Usher was also set to perform at Clive Davis party but had to pull out to be with his wife. Usher's wife, Tameka Foster, suffered complications from plastic surgery in Brazil, Access Hollywood reported. A neurosurgeon from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has flown to Brazil. I wish both Tameka Foster and Usher well. I do have to wonder why she choose Brazil for plastic surgery.
