Chris Brown Officially Charged and Facing Up to Four Years in Prison for Assault on Rihanna
Brown Hasn't Entered a Plea, Will Be Back in Court April 6
If found guilty, Chris Brown faces a sentence that could range from probation to up to four years in prison. He is currently free on $50,000 bail. Brown was arraigned this afternoon in Los Angeles Superior Court. Brown's next court date is April 6.
Los Angeles Police arrested Brown on Sunday, Feb. 8, the same day of the Grammy Awards, on allegations that he had beaten Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty.
According to Entertainment Weekly an affidavit states that the dispute between Rihanna and Chris Brown started when Rihanna became upset over a text message he received from another woman. It was allegedly three pages long. It has also been reported that Brown shoved Rihanna's head into the window of his rented Lamborghini and that he also punched and bit her while making threats to beat her when they got home.
