Chris Brown and Rihanna Poem

Brandon Elliott
This is a poem I wrote inspired by all the recent controversy sparked from the Chris Brown and Rihanna fight.

Chris,
Can't we all just get along?
Why must we fight?
When everything seems so right..
And then you throw it away.
Like a bag of old news.
It shows with this bruise.
How much do you really love me?
Enough to treat me well, I hope
because this pain can not be cleansed with soap.
I'm not sure if it will ever be the same
I'm throwing it all away, I don't want the fame.

Rihanna,
I'm so sorry sweetheart,
My temper got the best of me
and now I'm paying for it, I hope you see
this hurts me too
but I don't care
I just want your love forever
I didn't mean to hurt you, boo
My teeth are clenched,
my fists, no more.
I'm sorry baby,
I know this for sure.
