Chris Brown's Day in Court; Brown Charged with Two Felonies for Alleged Assault on Rihanna
Chris Brown Charged with Two Felonies; Felony Assault and Making Criminal Threats
The documents detailing all the charges against Chris Brown also have the victim's name as Robyn F.. Robyn Fenty is Rihanna's real name.
Chris Brown is expected to be in court today, at 3:30PM for an arraignment on the felony charges. Mark Geragos is Brown's attorney, it is unclear at this point if Geragos has been working on a plea deal or if Brown will enter his plea as not guilty.
The LA's District Attorney charged Brown for felony assault and making criminal threats, both considered felonies in California that could carry a maximum of four years in prison.
Chris Brown was charged with felonies for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Rihanna, the night before The Grammy's. The alleged assault left Rihanna battered, bruised, in what was described as a "horrific" attack by the responding police officers.
Photos of Rihanna's bruised and beaten face were released to TMZ.COM. It is unclear how TMZ received the photos, but the same website also reports that the photo of Rihanna released is considered mild. Apparently, other photos of Rihanna taken the same night and the next morning are even worse, showing severe bruising on her face.
The alleged assault reportedly started over a phone text message that Brown received from another woman. Rihanna and Chris argued over the woman's text, and according to reports, Brown attempted to push Rihanna out of the vehicle. After he was unable to shove her out of the car due to her seat belt being on, Brown proceeded to punch and beat Rihanna in the face. According to reports, Brown allegedly struck Rihanna several times and threatened to continue beating her after the couple got home. Rihanna attempted to call her assistant, and after the phone call Brown became even more enraged. At that time, he threatened to "kill" Rihanna.
However, despite the alleged assault, Rihanna and Chris Brown have been spotted together in Miami. It has been said that the couple is attempting to reconcile, and at this time it is believed that Rihanna is no longer cooperating with the police.

A very well written piece.
I read the full text of the officer's incident report. What a brutal, rage filled attack! This was not some argument that escalated, and the victim must have been horrified as the endured it. All too often women run back, not realizing they will never be bigger in this man's life than the issues that led him to engage in such an attack. They both need extensive counseling, and they need to not be in a relationship together while receiving it so each can see him or herself clearly - but with felony rather than misdemeanor assault charges facing him, Brown may also get jail time. At their young ages each has great hope of recovering and having healthy relationships in the future.
