The two episodes that appeared this week showing the top-singers going into the Top 24 Chris was not included, as was Tim Urban. So this was something brewing that producers thought through before making a final decision. Unfortunately for Chris the decision went against him
It is unfortunate that such a talented young man has to find out the hard way that honesty is the best policy. Why do people lie about themselves when jobs are on the line?
For one reason competition is fierce because of our poor economic climate in the United States. A large part of those unemployed are younger people. Those young people fresh out of college or those that didn't get a good education were the first to be laid-off from dead end jobs.
Second it has long been a thought that lying to obtain employment is all right. After all we must all survive right? Wrong lying to get a job or a contract is a big mistake and has ended some good careers. Take Tiger Woods lying to his wife which indirectly was lying to those that pay him large money for endorsement rights. Tiger plays a sport that holds integrity high because golf is thought to be a gentlemen's sport and after all gentlemen don't lie. Not to long ago George O'Leary lost his job at Notre Dame as head football coach because he lied on his resume.
Thirdly we don't value morals as we once did because the results seem to be more important. Especially were money is involved. The reason we don't value morals? We have lost our way as spiritual humans. We think we can control everything and that we are the ultimate power in the universe. Those that tend to lead their lives with strong spiritual, mental and emotional values are the ones who always come out on top eventually.
I know it was a tough lesson Chris but maybe it's a blessing in disguise. Good luck in the future.

Post a CommentGood points. I think his claim is that he thought he was released from the contract already and therefore didn't have to divulge it. It's a shame he didn't just tell them.
