Australian Actor Weds Spanish Girlfriend Elsa Pataky at a Secret Location in Indonesia
Australian actor Chris Hemsworth made a splash in Hollywood when he scored the role of Captain James T. Kirk's father in Star Trek. He went on to be cast as Thor in the Marvel superhero series, recently completing filming of Thor and The Avengers. Not bad for a lad who started his acting career in Australian long-running soap Home and Away.
Hemsworth is one of three Australian brothers who have become actors. Both Chris and younger brother Liam have scored well in Hollywood. Liam, well known as the co-star of Miley Cyrus in The Last Song, became her boyfriend for a time. The on-again, off-again romance seems to have foundered. Luke Hemsworth played in Aussie soap Neighbours alongside brother Liam. Big brother Chris has married his long-time girlfriend, Spanish actress Elsa Pataky during the festive season in a small, private civil ceremony at a secret location in Indonesia.
Elsa Pataky is best known for her supporting role in the 2006 film Snakes on a Plane, and has starred in several Spanish films and TV series. The couple were introduced by their mutual US manager William Ward in January 2010.

Honeymoon in Australia at Phillip Island in Victoria
According to Confidential, the happy couple are honeymooning at Phillip Island off the coast near Melbourne, Australia where Hemsworth's parents live. Last year at about this time, brother Liam jetted in to Australia in company with then girlfriend Miley Cyrus. What a difference a year makes!
Actor brothers Liam and Luke told Confidential they attended the wedding with their parents Leonie and Craig.
The bride, a well-known celebrity in her native Spain who, at 34, is seven years Hemsworth's senior, wore a dress by Italian fashion house Armani.
The newlyweds yesterday shopped for swimwear at a surf shop in Phillip Island where, coincidentally, Liam was showing around his then-girlfriend Cyrus exactly a year ago.
Chris Hemsworth - just another Aussie hunk to make it big in Hollywood
Chris has been blessed with a tall stature and god-like, muscular body, making him suitable for superhero roles.
His US celebrity is set to explode with the release of Marvel Comics action flick Thor, in which he plays the title character. He also starred in Red Dawn and The Cabin In The Woods. He also features in the video game of Thor as the voice of the superhero.
