Chris Jericho Refuses to Speak
On the January 9 th , 2012 episode of Monday Night Raw, Chris Jericho made his way to the ring to address the WWE Universe about his actions from the previous week. The previous week on Raw, Jericho made his return to the WWE. Jericho pranced around for nearly ten minutes as the WWE Universe cheered for him. During that time Jericho said nothing to the WWE Universe. It was later reported that Jericho was unable to speak because he was overcome with emotion. As Jericho made his way to the ring on the January 9 th episode of Monday Night Raw, the WWE Universe began to cheer. Jericho entered the ring as the WWE Universe continued to cheer. After minutes of not speaking the WWE Universe continued to cheer. Jericho grabbed a microphone as the WWE Universe continued to cheer. The cheering brought tears to Jericho's eyes. Jericho wiped his tears and exited the ring without saying anything to the WWE Universe.
It looks like Jericho was overcome with emotion for a second week. Being overcome with emotion is not a legitimate reason for not speaking to the WWE Universe. When Edge retired he was overcome with emotion but he continued to address the WWE Universe. So there has to be another reason why Jericho is not speaking. Jericho may not be speaking because he is a heel. So as long as the fans continue to cheer Jericho he does not need to speak. My theory is that Jericho will continue making his way to the ring week after week, until the WWE Universe stars to boo him.
It is also possible that Jericho will not speak until after the Royal Rumble. According to Jericho's return promos he has returned to claim what it his. Some members of the WWE Universe have speculated that Jericho has returned to reclaim that he is the best in the world. In Jericho's absence, CM Punk has been claiming he is the best in the world. Punk is currently feuding with Dolph Ziggler. Until Punk ends his feud with Ziggler, Jericho has no reason to speak.
Why do you think Jericho is not addressing the WWE Universe? Is it because he wants the WWE Universe to boo him or does Jericho have another reason for not speaking?
