Chris Jericho Speaks

Spy Radio

On the January 23 rd 2012, episode of Monday Night Raw, Chris Jericho spoke to the WWE Universe. Before speaking Jericho tried to get the crowd to quiet down by placing his finger over his mouth. The crowd continued to chant Jericho which forced him to leave the ring and head backstage. As Jericho went backstage he received some boos from the crowd but return seconds later with a T-Shirt Launcher. Jericho got each section of the crowd to cheer for him but never launched the T-Shirt. Instead Jericho placed the T-Shirt Launcher in the middle of the ring and took the camera from the camera man. After filming the WWE Universe in attendance Jericho showed a highlight reel. The reel showed Jericho's returns and accomplishments throughout his career. When the reel ended Jericho tried to get the crowd to quiet down one more time. Moments later Jericho informed the WWE Universe that "this Sunday at the Royal Rumble, it's going to be the end of the world as you know it".

What does Jericho mean when he says "it's going to be the end of the world as you know it"? Jericho's words could mean a number of things. It all depends on who "you" is referring too. If "you" is referring to the WWE Universe, it may mean that Jericho is going to change everything we know about the WWE. If "you" is referring to another WWE Superstar, it may mean that Jericho is going to harm that Superstar in some way. The Superstar that comes to mind is CM Punk. Punk has been claiming that he is "The Best In The World". Jericho made that claim before Punk. Now a lot of members of the WWE Universe are speculating that Jericho has returned to reclaim that he is "The Best In The World". For Jericho to reclaim that he is "The Best In The World" he will need to face off against Punk. Before Jericho goes after Punk, Jericho may try to win the World Heavyweight Championship. If Jericho is able to capture the World Heavyweight Championship while Punk is still WWE Champion. The Championships could be unified into one Championship, thus proving which one of these Superstars is "The Best In The World".
