Chris Medina American Idol Has Talent

Chris Medina, who is headed to Hollywood in the tenth season of American Idol, is a delight to listen to. This man has real singing talent and it's clear to see this. The back-story of Chris Medina will endear fans to him, as it shows what a sweet talented man is.

Chris Medina is the last person to audition for the night, and he comes on stage and makes small talk with the judges. The American Idol staff show his audition video and American learns that this man is more than he seems to be. The video introduces us to his girlfriend who was severely injured in a car accident in late 2009. She suffered a traumatic brain injury.

The video, which is on The Hollywood Gossip website and youtube, shows the couple before the accident, as well as the present. Chris Medina is shown providing day-to-day care for this woman, and his love is so clear. He sings "Break Even" by The Script and the judges love it. On the request of the American Idol judges, he brought out his soon-to-be wife Juliana Ramos on the stage.

Even though it's clear to me after watching the television show and the video that Chris Medina has talent, knowing his back-story makes me like the man even more. He did not have to stay with Juliana Ramos after her accident, but he did. That shows true love, he stuck when things got tough. There is talk on the Internet about his using the story to gain sympathy. I do not feel that this is what the man is doing. Chris Medina has talent and he loves his girlfriend unconditionally. To me that speaks volumes.

Danny Gokey reported via a twitter post that people bashed him for sharing his story when he was a contestant on "American Idol" in the eighth season. The heart-tugging story he shared was that four weeks prior to his audition on the singing show, his wife underwent routine surgery for congenital heart disease.

Gokey's wife died from complications from that surgery. The country singer made it to the top three before he was eliminated from the show. He continues in the music industry with an album and two singles credited to him. Danny Gokey was nominated for award in 2009 and 2010. He won Male Vocalist of the Year in 2010 for the Wisconsin Area Music Industry.

In the case of Jon Dalton of "Survivor Pearl Islands" fame, he lied about losing his grandma to gain sympathy in the game. His lie backfired in his face on "Survivor Pearl Islands"

He was on a those players that was so bad, everyone loved him. His antics had me in stitches. Johnny Fairplay as fans knew him went on to "Survivor Micronesia" AKA "Fans Versus Favorites" where he was voted out on the first show. On the first show, he said he missed his girlfriend and their unborn child and asked to be voted out of the game.

Kevin Skinner the quiet laid back type of man with a powerful voice was the winner of season 4 of "America's Got Talent". His back-story is that before appearing on the show he was an unemployed chicken catcher at the Pilgrim's Pride factory farm outside Mayfield, Kentucky.

The audience laughed when he revealed his prior job, but once he began singing "If Tomorrow Never Comes" by Garth Brooks, a hush fell over the crowd. At the conclusion of the song, the audience was cheering, and Mr. Skinner had won the hearts of many, including all three judges.
