Chris Tucker Owes Back Taxes to the IRS and State of California
Can He Settle Tax Debt for Pennies on the Dollar?
He owes $4,007,794.34 for 2001, $5,060,074.23 for 2002, $55,544.84 for 2004, $660,414.94 for year 2005 and $1,788,080.91 for year 2006. According to TMZ, the state of California also filed a lien against Christ Tucker for failing to pay $3,594,409 during the same time period for back state taxes.
Tucker is best known for his role at Detective James Carter in the hit movie "Rush Hour, 2 and 3". Chris Tucker earned around $20 million for Rush Hour 2 and another $25 for Rush Hour 3. Tucker played the role in Rush Hour perfect while teaming up with Jackie Chan. He earned around $3 million for the 1st Rush Hour and made a huge jump in income in the making of Rush Hour 2 and 3. Another popular movie that Chris Tucker played in was Money Talks back in 1997 co-starring along Charlie Sheen. Tucker earned around $2 million for acting in Money Talks.
So the question is "Chris where's all the money you earned?" Did you hide it off-shore or blow it? Nobody knows except you Chris Tucker and his people around him. I'm sure the money's gone so he'll be setting up a payment plan with the IRS. Chris Tucker hasn't acted since 2007 and his cash flow may be drying up.
Chris Tucker may want to call one of those law firms you see on commercials stating they can lower your tax debt to pennies on the dollar. Actually, the lawyers should offer to do it in a barter agreement and then let Chris Tucker be there spokesperson if they can produce the results they say than can do.
