He took to acting naturally and appeared in Secondhand Lions as well as several other roles. Fame L.A. in 1997 was his first role on screen. Cousin Branden Hart brought the Native American a touch of influence with country music in addition to acting. Today Christian has brought a touch of real country with a little Hollywood and a heavy dose of reality.
He packed the Viper Room on the Sunset Strip, bringing country music to southern California along with his acting work. He appeared in Carrie Underwood's "So Small" video, and now has a debut single called "The House Rules." With a music video directed by Academy Award winner Timothy Hutton, the future looks bright and if you haven't taken a listen it's time to do so!
In March 2010 his digital EP took up the #3 post on the iTunes country chart and #13 on all-genre album chart. In addition it topped at #5 on Bilboard's Heatseeker's chart. He's shared the stage with noted acts such as Brooks & Dunn, Bit & Rich and Eric Church. He's sold out venues in London and southern California as well as appearances in Nashville.
Country radio in L.A. has taken note and he was voted the winner of the Country Thunder Young Guns contest with songwriting partner Steve Carson and their band KANE. He's not just Nashville or just southern California in influence. The family moved often when he was growing up, and the entertainment dream began in Norman Oklahoma.
A strong fan base is core to any artist and Christian has that in place also. ""It's really all of them that made this release possible and I'm really looking forward to giving them more of my music later this year."
With an active presence on radio and television there's still more opportunity in the age of social media to connect with Christian Kane. Twitter, Facebook and Myspace are up as well as a website, with current news of dates scheduled and where to find his music.
If you haven't heard his music or seen the screen appearances, check out his site and see what you're missing! He's creating a buzz and it's worth seeing if it's some great new music you'll like.
