Christian Kane Launches New CD "The House Rules" at Charlotte Lunch Party

Christian Kane launched his new country music album "The House Rules" in style with a CD lunch celebration at the Morehead Street Tavern in Charlotte, NC.

"This is a really big moment for us," said Kane at the packed tavern where and his band performed several songs. "Thank you guys for staying with us and the radio station here for playing us."

The event was hosted by Charlotte country station 103.7 WSOC.

The first single off the album is the title track and the video can be seen here: "The House Rules."

Kane had just come from a show the previous night in Kernersville, NC.

"We had a big night last night," he said, as he took a shot of Jack Daniels whiskey before picking up his guitar.

I got to meet and talk with Christian, who seemed very excited about the new album's release.

"I'm just having fun and going with it," he said. "The record is about whiskey and women and good times, straight from the heart, that's what I know. You aren't going to hear me sing songs about riding a tractor or about marriage, cause I don't know that stuff. As an actor I get to lie a lot. Country music is the one place I get to tell the truth."

A lot of people know Christian Kane from his acting roles on the cult series "Angel" and the current hit show "Leverage."

On TNT's "Leverage" Kane stars as Eliot Spencer, a martial-arts and weapons expert who works with a team of con men led by Timothy Hutton's Nate Ford. On "Angel" Kane played a highly placed corrupt lawyer who was often the opponent and occasionally the ally of David Boreanaz's hero vampire Angel.

Although Christian Kane has received notice for his country and rock music live shows for years this is his first major label record.
