Christianity Vs. True Christianity: A Problem with the Church?
A Research Paper on Issues and Truth of Christ
If you go through the centuries with the Great Schism and even the Reformations of the church you would noticed that all the church history has its root in Catholicism. Thus every Christian church whether it be Protestant, Catholic or any other Christian denomination has but one founding father and that is Paul. Christianity is supposed to be about what Christ has taught and not about Dogma's or "Rules" because; even Jesus broke the laws of the High Priest's.
Paul has made either accidentally or purposely misinterpreted Jesus' teachings, which has led to main problems for society since Roman Catholicism was created, Roman Catholicism is flawed because, of this, Christ message was integrated into Paul's teachings and it should have been the other way around.
II-A. Major Issues of The Church
There are major issues that the church has taken the wrong issues on with. Some issues are really groundbreaking and could affect society in dramatic ways if the church took a different stance on the issue. These issues are Homosexuality whether it is a sin or okay to be one. Income level whether we should help the poor or everyone should work hard to live. Bigotry, Racism and Religion would shatter the very core of every Christian church around the world today. Sexism is another issue in society and the reader would be surprised with what I found. Finally, there is the issue of slavery which is tied to law.
Homosexuality as we have all known is rejected in all western and some eastern traditions. However you would be surprised that Paul said in the bible (Romans 1:26-27) that God gave us homosexuality for our perversions and that in Genesis19 that all these men wanted to have sex with the angels and God gave them permission to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. This simply is not the case further investigation shows that Jesus said in (Matthew 11:23-24) that it was because, the people of Sodom where selfish and could not control there lust. That is why Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed if the reader was to even look at (Genesis 19: 13) itself it says that "The outcry to the LORD against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it." This outcry is none other them selfish desires of lust. Not homosexuality but because, people where just so impatient to have sex that resulted to violence. Jesus says in another passage (Matthew 21:32) that anyone who does something wrong will get into heaven if the listen to his teachings. If this story never existed or was interpreted properly than what would be so wrong with being a homosexual? That is the first misinterpretation.
Now the next one worthy of talking about is poverty. Paul says (2 Thessalonians 3:10) No Work than No Food! Contradicted what Jesus said in (Matthew 25:34-35) saying that when I was hungry you gave me something to eat and so on and so forth. Now if you look at the politics of it majority of all Christians vote for the Republican in America Republican Party is against Welfare and for working hard which is what Paul's doctrine was founded on. Democrats are in favor of Welfare which was more on what Jesus taught to give to others. However, for the sake of not getting to political I will end it here.
The big three on this one is that Racism, Bigotry and Anti-Other Religions was taught on Paul. Racism was covered in The Book of Titus 1:12-13 saying that if a group of people are generally bad than there all bad. However, Jesus proved that (Matthew 8:5-8) it did not matter what your heritage is you are equal. Same thing is stated with religious believes when Paul said (1 Thessalonians 2:14-16) that these people sin will face God's Wrath in Hell if they do not listen to me. However, the story with three wise men was that (Matthew 2:2) it did not matter who you were you were equal. Finally bigotry with Paul saying that (1 Thessalonians 2:14-16) it's wrong to be with anyone but those who are like you. Jesus says however (John 4:7-9), to intermingle with others is fine to do.
The next thing I want to mention is women and how people say that the bible is sexist. Again looking at it as one big sum of information it might seem that way. However, further looking shows that Paul was sexist he said (1 Corinthians 14:34-35) women are to be submissive and quite because, anything else would be rude and impolite. However, Jesus (John 4:27) talked with a women but no one ask him Why is he talking to a women. Again Paul contradicts Jesus by being sexist Jesus did not care what gender you are.
Finally, slavery seems to have been supported quite frequently in the New Testament with Paul saying (Ephesians 6:5) to obey your earthly masters as you were to obey God. Well would that not contradict what God says in the 10 commandments saying to have no other god's before me? You would need to worship God to Obey him and you would need to worship your earthly masters to obey them would you not? Jesus also states (Matthew 23:8) that we are all brothers and sisters of God!
This concludes the contradictions speaking about God and Jesus against Paul. Paul argued with the 12 Apostles of Jesus that is wrong it is just so wrong to do because, look at what has happened in our own society Religious wars, Wars over who is who and property. Again whether Paul intentionally or accidentally misinterpreted what Jesus had taught is up for debate.
II-B. Misunderstandings
There are some misunderstandings that have also needed to be realized. Most people do not see this however, after pointing them out everyone will see. There are three big issues that are going to be pointed out in this subject they are "Does God Hate or Love Everyone?" "What is God's real role in life and Christ real role in life?" "How many times should I forgive someone?" There are some misleading beliefs concerning the afterlife that need to have a different view. You would be surprised how the world really is in God's care.
The question that seems to be asked by unbelievers and believers alike is "Does God Love or Hate everyone or some people?" In Proverbs 6:16-19 God hates 7 things and hate God hates is a Sin. 7 Sins? Yes 7 Deadly Sins if you read them they are mention in Proverbs 6:16-19. These are described as people however, they are the actions people take and a bad action is a sin God hates These 7 Deadly Sins. There would be a paradox if God Hated people this paradox is that "If Jesus redeemed all of humanity at the cross (and the redemption of all humanity implies the salvation of all humanity) then why does anyone go to hell?" If one where to research all the stories of after life and Near Death Experiences they all come back stating an unconditional love. This unconditional love is God and Christ. People who claim of darkness all had one thing in common they were selfish or had no self control over there life. Than they see a light who told them to change there ways or else they would be a permanent member of that darkness. They than wake up and thrust back there lives are changed forever.
The next thing worth mentioning is the story of God's real role in life and Christ real role in life and What is Evils role in life. You would be surprised to learn that God is the Overseer of all that goes on and wants everyone to get to heaven. Christ is the merger of Human and Divine. Christ was interested in the plight of all the other soul on earth and set out to help them even if they did not know how he was helping.
Like they say in the beginning there was God a universal and collective consciousness everything (living and nonliving) that had, is and will exist is because of God. We were created by that consciousness and wanted to no longer be alone and have friendship God created us for that purpose to no longer be alone and have friends that are fractal(part) of him. Humans are three-dimensional beings: body, soul, spirit. The divine nature is as a manifestation of life, light, and love. The Bible mentions a trinity of personalities: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Bible also mentions a trinity of human-divine unity: Body of Christ, Mind of Christ, and Spirit of Christ. Science and metaphysics describe human awareness in terms of consciousness (mind), sub consciousness (soul), and the collective unconsciousness or super consciousness (spirit). The memories of the soul which are connected to the Spirit remain forever in the mind and the individual is now once again a pure spirit in the spirit realms. As a pure spirit, we exist once again in pure thought form in the mind of the one enormous and fantastic dream called "God." Since we are part God ourselves and thought form our thoughts truly can manifest if we wanted them and they do in our actions which is why Jesus says that if we look after a women to lust after we have already sinned. Look means Thinking/Thoughts and Lust would be the actions. That is the story and role of God in a summary.
This part is to the role of Jesus Christ. Jesus was a Great Teacher who taught people that the way to attain liberation is through the practice of unconditional love. Love brings about a merging between people and is necessary to attaining the higher dimensions of consciousness. Practicing unconditional love leads to the manifestation of the spirit within us and in our lives and brings our spirit into conscious awareness. It is an awakening of unconditional love within us and is the manifestation of our holy spirit within us. However, it is not enough to merely believe in love. Nor is it enough to merely know about love. To be spiritual beings living in a physical world, we must live love, manifest love, and become the embodiment of love. We do not get there by focusing only on the love and sacrifice of Christ nor through worshipping him. We can practice unconditional love by crucifying our self-centeredness through self-sacrifice and self-denial for the sake of serving others. "Crucifying the flesh" also means to put to death the desires of the lower self - the animalistic desires - to allow our higher self, our spirit, to come through. From this we realize that Jesus role was an example to follow in order to become one with God and go to heaven which is what is God is. We fight and are selfish because, of our ego and we think of our own desires and that lower animalistic behavior. This is represented as hell and the devil. Hell is the home of our selfish thoughts while the devil and antichrist is the embodiment of our selfish actions this is why Devils and demons in movies do not like the Crucifix because, they feel crucified and feel the pain of the flesh.
Another funny contradiction that goes against what Jesus says is a contradiction on forgiving people. In (Titus 3:10-11) he says that if they are wrong doers to be forgiven 2 times if they wrong you again have nothing to do with them. However, in two circumstances Jesus says (Matthew 18:21-22) to forgive people as many times as possible. He says to take pity and forgive people (Matthew 18: 24-35) also even if they are in debt to you.
The Third and final part is about the Belief in Afterlife that need a different view. The bible supports Reincarnation when they talk about the resurrection. Gnostic teachings affirm that Jesus taught these things. In the Bible they talk about hidden knowledge two examples from The Gospel of Matthew: "The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables so that, 'they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding." (Mark 4:11-12) "He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and he will have abundance." (Matt. 13:11-12)
The Pharisees, the Essenes, the Gnostics, and the early Christians were believers in reincarnation (the true bodily "resurrection") and believers in spiritual renewal (the true spiritual "resurrection"). These were the "hidden mysteries" of the teachings of Jesus. They were the higher, "secret" teachings that Jesus shared only with the apostles. The public at large in Jesus' day could not understand the difference between the resurrection of the spirit (reincarnation) and the resurrection of the body (being "born of the Spirit"). This is apparent in Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus.
Another interesting aspect is whether Eternal Damnation is really eternal or feels eternal while it is only temporary. (Jonah 1:17) "But the LORD provided a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was inside the fish three days and three nights." However the story continues (Jonah 2:2) "And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice." (Jonah 2: 8-9) "They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD." Now this is my religious true lesson saying that Even in hell if we repent and pay our vows we will be saved. So hell is not as permenant as it seems. Even in NDE's people who claim going to hell cry out asking for God to save them and he does and gives them a second chance! How strange but the Church would have you believe otherwise!
III-A. The Real Message of Christ
This paper will point at the real message of Christ and what it really means. Again like all this content written this will shock anyone who reads this paper. Christianity is not a religion but The Way of thought. Jesus said that it does not matter who you are but the actions you do that matter. Whether it be good or bad will determine whether you burn in hell or have eternal life. However since Christianity is a way of thought Hell would mean ONLY self-condemnation while Heaven would represent Self-Salvation. As a spiritual being you are immortal so you have life everlasting with or without God and Christ.
I have said in various forums discussing religion of Christianity that "The Father does not Judge his son on who he is because, the father is part of the son. However, there two individuals and the father Judges you on what you do. If you mess up and are truly sorry for what wrong you have done than the father can forgive you. It does not matter what you have what matters is what you do with what you have. We are only free when we are free from our possessions and selfishness... "
I have used this example to further prove my point: "My name is [fill in]. I am
If you were to look at the major world religions in the Judeo-Christian sense it is Abraham, Moses and Jesus Christ. If you were to look at the Eastern religions it is Hinduism and Buddhism. From Hinduism you have the greater Self or God called Brahman and Shiva. In Buddhism it is Buddha. All these world religions teach the same thing Denial of Self and Right / Morally Good Action. They all talk about a resurrection or reincarnation of the soul and body. They all tell the same thing in different languages about how to get to end the constant cycle or reincarnations and be one with God.
From learning this and accepting this you can understand that all the world religions are already one message from a supreme being. Now religious powers of today would never except a one world religion because, it would be associated with the end of the world. However, the real reason is because, of self-righteousness. Already I can point out that what does Jesus teach? He teaches denial of self. You have to deny your self-righteousness and come together.
III-B. Psychology of True Christianity
I would like to talk about Christianity through the Science of Psychology and describing from Edgar Cayce's meaning and interpretation of God. This has a surprising spin on an old meaning. Edgar Cayce was a man who had used Gnostic teachings and Trance Meditation to probe into the Subconscious and Unconscious mind to explain Christianity which would inevitably explain all the major world religions. Edgar Cayce came to the conclusion that:
Edgar Cayce affirmed that the trinity of the Godhood (the so-called Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is actually three-dimensional consciousness when viewed from the level of earth consciousness, which itself is a three-dimensional realm in one. The Godhood in its multiplicity can be perceived as more complex than three-dimensional when viewed from the perspective of higher levels of consciousness. Nevertheless, the Christ, whether one speaks of the Godhead as three-dimensional or multidimensional, is seen as an essential part of the Godhead. Indeed, Cayce stated that the Body of Christ is the Father, the Mind of Christ is the Son, and the Spirit of Christ is the Holy Spirit. In other words, Jesus represented the body, mind and spirit of God. Jesus' message was that "ye are gods" (John 10:34). In other words, all humans can be as God in body, mind and spirit, just as Jesus was.
Christ [the spirit] is the Universal Consciousness of love that we see manifested in those who have forgotten self, as Jesus [the man], give themselves that others may know the truth.
According to Cayce, the incarnations of the Christ soul were as follows: Adam, Enoch, Melchizedek, Joseph, Joshua, Jeshua (the scribe chiefly responsible for forming the Hebrew Bible according to Cayce) and finally Jesus.
Edgar Cayce, was in the deeper levels of consciousness and was asked to give a reading of the soul-record for an individual, he found it very difficult to determine whether the soul had thought of doing something or had actually done it. In the deeper levels of consciousness, thoughts and actions are equal in their impact. Perhaps this explains Jesus' admonition that adultery in one's heart is the same as committing it in deed. Thoughts are things and thoughts are real.
As companions of God, we are free to live and choose and grow almost as we desire, but not without being subject to Universal, Spiritual Law. Through meeting our thoughts, actions and words we learn to discern wisdom from folly, lasting strength from weakness and true life from illusion. In turn we become more able to fulfill our ultimate purpose for existing: to be a companion to the Universal Creator. The law is actually a magnificent tool for perfect learning. It is completely impersonal -- everyone experiences it equally and for the purpose of enlightenment, even Jesus: "Though he were a Son, yet taught he obedience by the things which he suffered." (Hebrews 5:8)
If one where to look at the Seven Deadly Sins of western religion (lust, envy, greed, gluttony, etc.) expresses a type of possessive power that overtakes the partaker. The Seven Virtues on the other hand, express selflessness on the part of the recipient: kindness, gentleness, patience, etc. Notice also that the Sins are mostly self-experienced, but the Virtues require another person in order for them to be realized. This follows Jesus' teaching:
"I seek mercy, and not sacrifice. He who has ears..." Sacrifice can be done alone, but mercy requires that one reach out beyond oneself and consider others and their needs. These are true facts and are support within the bible and other religions also within the Western world and Eastern world.
IV. Conclusion
So as you the reader know by now Christianities ultimate message was deeper than just what is written in a book. It had three basic messages to summarize the meaning of Christianity. The first was Love Each Other! The Second, was to treat those the way you want to be treated because, as you know you reap what you sow, which as I have shown you by know is related to Karma and Eastern Traditions. The Final message was to practice self control to deny the self or ego by helping others and practicing selflessness and altruism.
By now if you choose to except it that all the major world religions are already one in the general message and that we are all part of the same universal consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. Yet we are all individuals and we each lead a different life. So the question still remains To Be or not to be that is the question? To be with God or not to be with God? The choice is yours because, we are all our own God's and will you choose selfishness or selflessness?

Post a CommentI'm sorry. I ran out of space. I had written quite a bit more and didn't realize that I had a limit. Don't have time right now to redo my comments maybe a later time.
Wow, what a pathetically weak and misinformed argument. If you are going to talk about the Bible and church history you had better get your facts straight (and your spelling) before you post your ignorance on the internet. I am not trying to sound ugly here, but good grief get your facts straight. I find that kind of ignorance extremely insulting. The Church of Rome had its beginning with Constantine when he attempted to merge religion and the state together. The Church of Rome became the state religion of Rome and was called the Roman Catholic (universal or one world) Church. Almost immediately they began their war machine to eliminate anyone who refused to join them. The original believers from the early church re-baptized those who left the state church and converted to Christianity and were therefore called Anabaptists or Re-baptisers. Eventually, they were simply called Baptists. Christ is the founder of the church as He had promised to build His church upon that rock of
I couldn't even finish this article because it is riddled with errors and verses taken out of context. Horrible and biased articel. One example, article claimed that Paul said only intereact with those who agree with you, i believe it's Corinthians where he talks about blend in with the culture around you so you don't offend anybody and are able to communicate with them better. Paul encouraged Christians to talk to everybody, not just a selected group. Obviously the writer is trying to force the Bible to fit his position.
The teachings of Christ was spread throughout Europe and Asia by the Jews who added the gospels to traditional Judaism. They were the original "Christians" and were under persecusion of the traditional Jews as well as members of other religions. Paul was one of the ones spreading the teachings. However, not everyone accepted this new form of Judaism. It was hundreds of years after Paul compiled the New Testament until Rome, under the rulership of Emperor Constantine, adopted "Christianity". "Christians" and "Christianity" were terms coined by Roman Emperors about the "followers of Christ". The various people of the Roman Empire were of different religions. Emperor Constantine, a worshiper of the sol Invictus, adopted Christianity as a political move to unite the empire. One empire, one religion. Paul should have been long dead by then. Christianity today as we know it has many ideology and traditions added to it from other religions. That is why a lot of practices are done in churches
I would encourage anyone reading this to actually look into the verses and not just take his word/opinion for it. Following simple logic I can see, just from looking at a few of these examples, that none are even close to contradictions. For instance the give to those who are hungry: not givng to those who choose not to work is a subsidiary 'clause' to the preaching of Christ to give to those who are hungry, and is not a contradiciton at all. Basically its saying that we are to give to those in need ~unless~ they are unwilling to work for themselves. How is that a contradicion? This is a usual example of taking something out of context by making the Assumption that one command is supposed to be given hyper-exclusivity to all circumstances. Christ never said 'ALLWAYS GIVE TO THE NEEDY in every single circumstance' for if he did it would be a contradiction. He said give and later on he ammended it to be more exact by giving us helpful advice not to give to those who can help themselves (
Jesus did not break the law, but rather the tradition of the elders...the traditions that strayed from God's original law. Also, Jesus is not contradicted in Titus 3:10. If we look at the context of the passage, we can see that it is talking about warning people about their wrongful ways and avoiding "foolish controversies" about the law. This is not to be confused with the Lord's call to forgive 70 times 7 (in other words...unlimited forgiveness).
........very good but why not just ditch this book and think for yourself. the bible is just full of contradictions and at the same time is quite nasty in parts, full of hate, death, war, rape, genocide....and of course there is no proof whatsoever that there is a god or any god for that matter.
I have to say this is a very well written article. This is the first article I've read in quite some time that examines the Bible from a position of analysis rather than simply blind faith. For years I had been getting yelled at by certain family members for thinking independantley and coming to the same conclusions you did in this article.
