Christians Have Guts, NOT a Crutch

Hannah
As far as I'm concerned this crutch theory created by non-believers about Christians is the most ridiculous statement ever made, by obviously very ignorant people. Remember ignorance is lack of knowledge. So here we go non-believers, pay attention and learn something!

To start with this crutch theory which states that Christians use God as a crutch is by far the most ignorant statement ever made. Guess what, being a Christian is hard. There's no crutch involved. God expects a lot from his followers, he has very high standards for every Christian. No one gets off easy. The only standards non-believers have to live by is their own, which is far below what God expects. So therefore I would say non-believers are the ones that don't have the courage or stamina to be a Christian. Leaning on that crutch of just oneself must be very EASY and comforting for non-believers.

Christians have been persecuted for thousands of years and have stood strong. Never to give up or give in. Even today throughout the world Christians are severely persecuted, yet the number of Christians is growing rapidly. Crutches are for weak people who cannot stand strong. So perhaps non-believers who don't have to stand up or stand strong for anything more then themselves are the ones who need the crutches. You know what they say, use ir or lose it!

I would have to assume that all non-believers are ignorant and just don't have all the facts. Of course maybe I am being too kind, maybe they do have all the facts and are just plain stupid. Remember, ignorance is lacking the opportunity for knowledge, stupidity is a choice.

My true belief as being very well educated in human behavior and psychology is that hey re just plain jealous. We have something they don't, and they can't figure out how to get it. Another possibility is that they know how to have it, but feel it is too hard and they might fail. As we all know when you are totally self centered with nothing in your life greater than yourself failure is terrifying. The reason it's terrifying is that if YOU the one and only Supreme Being in your life fails, there is nothing left after that. How sad!

As Christians God allows us to fail, but he also expects us to pull ourselves up and try again. He gives us the faith to be able to do this. Non-believers can fail and give up. They have no one to be accountable too. So who needs the crutch? The person who is strong enough to try again and again, or the one who gives up because they have failed, and account to no one.

I could go on and on but the point has been well made. Christians are very strong individuals with NO crutches, just a strong faith and belief in who God is, and what he expects of us. So I say to non-believers, walk a mile in our shoes before you judge. That's if you have the GUTS to do it!

In order to be a Christian, even in America, you have to be willing to be a second class citizen in every occupation known to man. This is the mildest form of persecution, granted, but that's where it all begins. You must be willing to bear the stigma of the Cross regardless of the country you live in.

I was just thinking about this the other day! Christians are called weak people for "succumbing" to intangilbe faith, but I think it is others who need to rely on other things to convince themselves God doesn't exist.

Hannah, Very well said! How sad that non believers do not even see the comfort they can find in salvation! My prayers go out to all of them indeed! Blessings!
