Christina Applegate Finds Another Reason to Shine as She Becomes a Mother and Advocate

Last month Christina Applegate became a mother for the very first time.

On January 27, Applegate and Martyn LeNoble welcomed daughter, Sadie Grace into the world. Applegate admits the birth of her daughter has helped her to heal following her battle with breast cancer. In 2009, she underwent a double mastectomy.

Check out a picture of the happy couple. The couple got engaged last year on Valentine's Day and her pregnancy went public by July. Applegate was previously married to Jonathan Schaech in 2001. By 2005, she had filed for divorce, although it wasn't finalized until another two years later.

Some of her biggest film roles to date include films like Don't Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead, Anchorman and The Sweetest Thing. She is most known for playing Kelly Bundy on Married With Children, the sitcom ran for ten years, ending in 1997. As an Emmy winning actress she continues to find success in television and film.

Applegate's TV debut was made on Days of Our Lives. And at three months old she appeared in Playtex baby bottle commercials. By the time she played Kelly Bundy, she'd already appeared in many television shows like Grace Kelly, Silver Spoons, Charles in Charge, and Family Times.

In 1995 she became a founding member of the Pussycat Dolls. The group first debuted at Johnny Depp's Viper Room on Sunset Strip, in 1995. She then emceed for the group as the moved to The Roxy in 2002.

She also did a pole dancing exercise video for "Funny or Die". See it yourself here.

In the video she plays a character by the name of Roxie Fedaro. The video features her wearing a tank top, heals and ripped fishnet tights. Glee actress Jessalyn Gilsig and Reno 911 star Wendi McLendon Covey also appeared as happy customers who voice testimonials of the effectiveness of the video. The video certainly brings on the funny and at one point she breaks wind, slides up and down the pole, and many other positions that keep the laughs coming. Proving she doesn't take herself too seriously.

Since her bout with cancer, Applegate has founded Right Action for Women, a charitable foundation dedicated to allowing women to be screened for breast cancer. Focusing especially on the type of MRI scan that helped save her life.

Applegate most recently starred in Going the Distance with Justin Long and Drew Barrymore.
