Christina Hendricks' Figure and Role on "Mad Men" Changing Prime Time TV

Christina Hendricks and her shapely figure is changing the face of prime time TV. Christina'Ëœs voluminous figure is "in" as far as shapes go since first appearing on AMC's "Mad Men." Today Christine is being credited in starting a nostalgic TV season. According to Times News, the 60's will be the setting for many new shows.

Christine Hendricks' form fitting dresses on her voluptuous body brings back the Jane Russell, and Jayne Mansfield figures of yesteryear. "Mad Men" has become such a hit show that many networks are going back to a simpler time to provide the viewers with entertainment.

"The Hendricks Syndrome" is what one TV producer is calling the sudden infatuation with women from this era. Maureen Dowd, New York Times columnist says that Hollywood is ruled by men and this season, amid economic anxieties, those men want to indulge in some retro fantasies about hot, subservient babes."

Is it the infatuation with subservient women of this time in history, or is it because it was a simpler time? While this isn't a time that many women would want to live in again, considering the roles that women had, it still is history and great to watch.
