Each year the men's magazine holds a poll allowing readers (and many non-readers) to select the most beautiful woman in America. This year the sultry redhead from the popular cable, show Mad Men beat out the competition. Following right behind Christina Hendricks in second place is Victoria Secret model, Adriana Lima with 17% of the votes. Third place went to last year's winner, Megan Fox, who had 14% of the votes.
About Christina Hendricks
The thirty-four-year-old actress was born May 3, 1975 in Knoxville, Tennessee. She spent most of her childhood in the state of Idaho. Hendricks's family moved to Fairfax, Virginia while she was in high school. Christina Hendricks began her acting career by appearing in musical playhouse productions. Her first TV break came with a recurring guest spot in the series, Beggars and Choosers. She then followed that up with a series of guest appearances in television shows including ER and Firefly. She is definitely most known for her current role as Joan Holloway on the AMC cable series, Mad Men.
Christina Hendricks Trademark Red Locks
While Christina's most attention-getting feature may be her lovely red locks, according to reports she was actually born a blonde. Christina reportedly dies her hair red in order to maintain her trademark locks.
There is no denying that Christina Hendricks looks stunning on the cover of the May issue of Esquire Magazine.
