Christine O'Donnell is in Hiding & Behind in Polls to Chris Coons in Delaware Senate Race

Julia Bodeeb
Christine O'Donnell wants to be a member of the Senate. This is a far cry from her original career ambition to be an actress. That career choice does shed some light on her probable motivation for entering politics-she likes the spotlight of attention.

The Tea Party candidate in Delaware is bringing a lot of hilarity to the political arena. No one can take her seriously.

O'Donnell grew up in Moorestown, New Jersey. One parent was a Republican and one a Democrat. She has six siblings and they are split evenly between Democrats and Republicans, notes the New York Times.

Chris Coons, Democrat, is way ahead of O'Donnell in the run for a Senate seat in Delaware. America does not have much to fear from Christine O'Donnell. She's just an annoyance who will do a quick fade after she loses the election.

Bill Maher: Having Fun Spoofing Christine O'Donnell

She is getting a lot of publicity from Bill Maher. All of it is negative of course, as he keeps showing clips from her past visits to her show that make her look like a loon. Why would such a conservative candidate ever interact with a liberal and scathingly funny talk show host? O'Donnell does not seem to have too much savvy in the political arena.

Christine O'Donnell: A Fondness for Fibbing

O'Donnell may also have a habit of fudging the truth. The media is full of articles about how she implied on her resume that she had attended a class at Oxford, when actually the seminar she took was only held on that campus, but was sponsored by the Phoenix Institute.

O'Donnell also lied about her race against Joe Biden in 2008, notes NY magazine. She has said she won 2/3 of the counties of Delaware in that race. That is not true. She actually lost in all of the counties in Delaware.

O'Donnell has also lied by claiming that she had a college degree from Fairleigh Dickinson. That was a lie. Now, just this month, she has finally earned her college degree.

Once a Liberal & Now a Far Right Tea Party Candidate

Oh, and she used to be a liberal. That was before she became a conservative and decided that masturbation is off limits not just for herself but for all of America. LOL, talk about alienating the voters.

Ms. O'Donnell is trying the far right tactic of bringing religion into politics. That is not a good fit for today's America. We are an open minded country. Most people do not like some prissy Tea Party gal telling them what is right and wrong.

And Christine O'Donnell seems to be in hiding since the country has taken to laughing at her. Sarah Palin advised her to cancel all coverage on TV, but for Fox "News." That says it all about the Tea Party. They can't take the heat from mainstream America. O'Donnell is cloistered in her own little world where it is still like the 1950s.

Delaware Online reports that O'Donnell's campaign has not released a schedule of appearances for her and she is rarely seen in public now and has stepped back from her previously frequent posts on Twitter and Facebook. She is also dodging questions from reporters.

Delaware Donors Shun O'Donnell

The voters of Delaware are not contributing to her political campaign. Most of the funds she's raised are from out of state. This shows a clear lack of support for O'Donnell. She's the lame duck candidate in Delaware.

Is Christine O'Donnell Using Campaign Donations to Pay Rent?

There is a furor in the media over reports that O'Donnell has used campaign donations to pay her rent and for other personal expenses. The group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), has filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission against O'Donnell for her alleged misuse of donor dollars, notes Delaware Online.

Christine O'Donnell: Behind in the Polls

Even Fox news is showing O'Donnell behind in the polls. It recently showed poll results that Coons is leading O'Donnell 54 percent to 39 percent. Also, sixty percent of people in the poll said that O'Donnell is not qualified to be a senator, notes Politico.

It looks like Christine O'Donnell has had her 15 minutes of fame. The spotlight has faded and it is game over for this weak candidate.

If she lies she'll fit right in, I'd pick over Coon's anyday, especially if he's telling the truth

acting and senate are a lot more theatrics than substance, I think. the only thing that matters though is turnout on election day. and i agree that she's whacky
