Christine's Painting Place is located at 5475 Wm. Flynn Highway, Gibsonia, Pa., and their phone number is 724-444-1411. There are things to do if you want to get away by yourself, or if you want to take the kids for an afternoon of fun. They offer instructions on painting ceramics, clay handbuilding, and glass fusing. You can schedule a variety of parties including birthday parties, Mom's night out, bridal or baby showers and scout troops.

This summer, they are having Creative kids Summer Camp starting June 15, 2009 and they are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Try the monthly workshops where a new project and technique is offered each month. Call for brochures.

Her hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Tuesday and Saturday from 12 noon - 6 p.m. They are closed on Thursday and Sunday.

Because there is such a wide selection of items to paint in every price range, I find it practical to take my children, and I can always find great gift ideas in any price range for those hard to buy for grandparents. They just love the items with the kids' handprints, or simply the fact that they were painted by their grandchildren. I have also painted items for my home so that I can match the color scheme and style I'm looking for without traveling far and wide to find the perfect piece. Christine also has a large selection of holiday items for just about every holiday.

Every time I have been there, Christine was there ready to give advice to the novice painter from technique and color choices to design ideas. Every time my kids beg me to go, I personally make something for myself, such as a mug, as a souvenir and reminder of the wonderful time we had together.

My children absolutely love going there to paint a statue of a favorite animal, or trinket box, or a plate or mug for themselves. They truly enjoy the opportunity to be creative.
