You will need:
2 1/2 pounds ground beef and ½ pound ground pork
2 large eggs
2 cups cracker crumbs
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons butter (I sometimes use olive/sunflower/etc. oil)
3 cups onions, very thinly sliced
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons flour (all-purpose)
1 cup beef bouillon (condensed)
1 oz dry vermouth
1 ½ oz vodka
Directions:
Mix the beef, pork, eggs, cracker crumbs, and milk together. Salt and pepper. Put this mixture in the fridge for an hour.
After an hour, shape the mixture into small meatballs.
Heat the butter in a pan on stove top, and cook meatballs and onion slices over a medium low heat for about 15 minutes.
Remove everything from pan. Don't drain.
Add sour cream to pan, stir in flour, and then stir in beef bouillon until well blended.
Put meatballs and onions back in pan.
Finally, stir in vermouth/vodka. I like to add extra ;)
