It's not much of a challenge to write a Christmas acrostic using CHRISTMAS and the acrostic word. But add to that the challenge of writing in haiku and rhyming--well that's a bit more of a challenge.
Enjoy this Christmas acrostic haiku poem written about the birth of Jesus, one night long ago.
Christ the newborn king
Humble born as angles sing--
Rafter doves take wing
Infant fast asleep
Savior eyed by woolen sheep--
Tucked in manger deep
Mother keeps in sight
A star in the east shines bright--
Silent holy night
