Mint Swirl
You will need:
2.5 cups of chopped up chocolate sandwich cookies (mint oreos would be perfect)
3 tablespoons of melted butter
1 10-ounce package of Nestle Toll House Mint Swirl Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 whole container of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
Chocolate Syrup for finishing touches
Directions:
Entirely line a 13 x 9 baking pan with foil (cover the edges too)
Mix the crumbs and butter in a small bowl.
Press the crumbs into the bottom of the pan to form a "crust"
Put 1 cup of morsels over the crumb crust.
Evenly put ice cream over the morsels.
Sprinkle the rest of the morsels on top of the ice cream.
Freeze for 2 hours.
When you are ready to serve this Mint Swirl, remove it from the freezer and let it soften for a few minutes. Pour chocolate syrup in a decorative manner over the treat. Finally, cut into squares and lift out the pan and onto a Holiday serving dish.
Christmas Tree Cake
You will need:
1 box holiday-themed cake mix (like the yellow cake mix with green and red sprinkles in the center)
2 containers of white frosting
Sugar, tinted Green with food coloring
3 candy canes sticks (or ones with the curves broken off)
Spice Drops
Directions:
Heat oven at 350.
Lightly grease a 13 x 9 baking pan.
Prepare and Bake your cake mixture according to the directions on the box.
Once cake is done baking, place it in the refrigerator for about an hour to cool quickly.
Remove from refrigerator and cut 3 triangles into the cake. You do this by making 2 diagonal cuts. Start at one corner of the pan and cut diagonally up to the middle of the top. Now, start at the opposite corner of the pan and cut diagonally up to that middle stopping point. You should have now created 3 triangles.
On a serving pan, shape these triangles pieces into a double-layer Christmas Tree.
Frost the Christmas Tree.
Sprinkle the green colored sugar over the entire cake or just to resemble garland on a tree or sprinkle it however you wish.
Place spice drops on the cake to look like ornaments or even color lights.
Finally, place the 3 candy canes through the bottom of the Tree so it looks like it's trunk.
Voila!
