Christmas Candy Milkshake Recipes

Who doesn't love Christmas candy? But, did you know that Christmas candy can make some awesome shakes? Whether you're a fan of candy canes, buckeyes or chocolate covered cherries there's a milkshake that is sure to tempt your taste buds.

Candy Cane Milkshake

¼ cup milk
2 large scoops of vanilla ice cream
¼ cup crushed candy canes
Whipped cream
2 tablespoons crushed candy canes

1. Place the milk in the blender followed by one scoop of vanilla ice cream.
2. Add the peppermints followed by the final scoop of ice cream.
3. Blend until the milkshake reaches the desired consistency.
4. Pour the milkshake into a large chilled glass and top with whipped cream and the remaining crushed peppermints.

Tips:

If you don't have any candy canes handy, round peppermints work just fine.
You can also use mint ice cream for a stronger peppermint flavor.

Buckeye Blast Milkshake

¼ cup milk
2 large scoops of chocolate ice cream
3 tablespoons of peanut butter'
4 chopped buckeyes
Whipped cream
Buckeye

1. Place the milk and one scoop of ice cream into the blender.
2. Add the peanut butter and chopped buckeyes followed by the last scoop of ice cream.
3. Blend until the milkshake reaches the desired consistency.
4. Pour into a large chilled glass and top with whipped cream and a buckeye.

Tips:

You can also use peanut butter chocolate ice cream or just peanut butter ice cream.
Chocolate syrup can be used in place of the peanut butter.

Chocolate Covered Cherry Milkshake

¼ cup milk
2 large scoops of cherry chocolate chip ice cream
4 tablespoons of chocolate syrup
Whipped cream
Chocolate covered cherry

1. Place the milk and one scoop of ice cream in the blender.
2. Add the chocolate syrup followed by the final scoop of ice cream.
3. Blender until the milkshake reaches the desired consistency.
4. Top with whipped cream and a chocolate covered cherry.

Tips:

Vanilla ice cream can be used along with chopped chocolate covered cherries.
Vanilla frosting can be added to the milkshake to give the creamy taste chocolate covered cherries are known for.

Just about any type of Christmas candy can be turned into a milkshake. All you need to do is consider the flavors in the candy and select ice cream and ingredients that have the same flavors. It's a great way to use leftover Christmas candy and an unexpected treat for your kids.
