I have a lot of nostalgia for Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown Christmas. I remember the first time the special came on TV. I guess I was about two. I remember the living room, the tree, and how much fun it was to watch this special. It was a big event back in the days when cartoons like Bullwinkle were on prime time!

Christmas Through the Years, Louis Armstrong
I don't have this exact CD. I have a cheap compilation of jazz Christmas Songs called A Swingin' Soulful Christmas, but I got it out of a dollar bin years ago. This was the closest thing I could find online. I picked it because it features Louis Armstrong's hilarious, Zat You Santa Claus? An all time favorite!

Christmas Guest, Andy Griffith
When I was a child, we welcomed Andy Griffith into our home room every week, and he appreciated it! He was like a member of my family! So, for me and lots of other late baby boomers, this CD really is like having a welcome Christmas guest. It is an enjoyable mix of traditional hymns, carols, and a taste of bluegrass and storytelling from a friendly, familiar voice

Merry Christmas, Have a Nice Life, Cyndi Lauper
I have had this CD for several years. I just loved Cyndi Lauper with her first hit, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! We all went around looking like we cut our hair in the dark with a weedeater back then (the 80s) and she was an inspiration! This CD is a fun mix of silly, pretty, funny, inspirational and traditional. I enjoy it during the holidays every year.

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree - Cyndi Lauper, Marks, Johnny

James Galway's Christmas Carol, Flutist, James Galway
This is another CD that I have had for several years and enjoy tremendously every holiday season. Beautiful and tradition , it features the fabulous James Galway playing flute and conducting (if you can imagine) The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Singers, and the Chapel Choir of King's School, Canterbury. This is an excellent choice for a quiet Christmas eve by the fire.
Track List:
