Christmas Comes to Willow Creek

Beth Benson
In 1987, the most heartwarming holiday film was released starring The Dukes ofHazzard's Duke Boys John Schneider and Tom Wopat. Schneider and Wopat play two brothers who have been feuding for years. Ray (Schneider), a tall, blond haired, blue eyed, more laid back trucker, and Pete (Wopat), a shier, black hair, blue eyed, and more responsible trucker, reluctantly agree to deliver a semi-truck full of gifts and supplies for a soon to be abandoned snow-bound, Alaskan town of Willow Creek for their ill father, Al (played by country music legend Hoyt Axton).

Before even leaving the bright and sunny California state, the brothers are faced with their jealousy, mistrust, and also Pete's troublesome fifteen year old son, Mike. Along the way, flashbacks of their last feuding few years engulf them, causing more and more annoyance, silence, cross remarks, and anger for their long journey. Along the way, they pick up Ray's estranged wife, Jessie (Kim Delaney) who is Pete's ex-girlfriend. Jessie is pregnant with Ray's child and due at any moment. If they haven't had enough problems already, a blizzard strands them in their truck stuck in a snow bank somewhere in the Alaskan outdoors with nothing but snow, below zero winds, and a baby on the way.

With their CB out and miles from help and time running out fast, they pray for a miracle, because a miracle would be the only thing that would be able to help them at this point. Soon enough they are reminded that it is Christmas, and Christmas as we know it, is the time for miracles. Love, forgiveness, hope, and of course miracles, shine upon the lonely town of Willow Creek.

This uplifting, touching, wonderful, and romantic Christmas story will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will bring a family together, and it will prove that Christmas is a time for miracles and family. No matter where you are or no matter how down on your luck you are or no matter how abandoned you think you are, someone is always watching over you along the way, and when the right time comes, you'll be reminded that miracles do happen.

Christmas Comes to Willow Creek is the best ninety-three minutes that you and your family could invest your time in this holiday season, or anytime. Presented by A BlueAndre Production in association with ITC, rent or buy this movie today.
